Dinner today is up in the air. I might meet my nieces, in which case it will be pasta
But if they are too late getting here then I’ll be home by myself. In which case I guess leftovers.

Im going to make dh spaghetti and meatballs (dont get excited- Omaha steaks meatballs and jarred sauce).
I might try to cut some of that up really small and eat it. If not, well, mashed potatoes again!
I did get the go ahead to start soft foods that need chewing- oatmeal, pasta, etc. 1 week down, 3 to go!

I bought some fish on the way home from German class this morning, so that is for dinner. Not sure what we are having with it yet - it's only 6:15pm!!!!
Getting to German class was fun this morning - there was a bus strike, so my usual 2 stops by train, then 3 by bus, taking 15 minutes wouldn't work. Instead, I needed 2 trains and a tram, taking half an hour, and then the same for the return journey.

It is cold and foggy this morning but our walk was exhilarating. We did sleep in later than usual. I'm thinking Chicken Noodle Soup ~ especially since it's supposed to be in the 90's again next week. TGIF!!

Good afternoon ladies. I am ready to come home! Thank goodness we leave tomorrow. Tonight I'll be cooking kielbasa and sauerkraut over the fire. I've brought some nice deli buns for the sausages too. Here is where I am today. I think it's called the Kinsou bridge. It's way too high in the air. Those crazy people I came with decided to hike down to the bottom. That was a no from me. I drank a whole bottle of wine last night so I was pretty happy and I slept 9 hours! I didn't wake up until 7 am.

jeremysgirl, that bridge is a big "HELL NO" for me. Pass me the bottle of wine! You made it through the week. Woohoo!

The camper was great and warm. It's been pretty cold at night here. I'm just a bit over all the togetherness. This group is too big. And they aren't *my* family. Plus my mother in law has been staying in the camper with us. Next time we leave her at home. I don't like her in our space.

Happy Friday dinner tribe!!! ✨🍷🧡
I have to go Sams and Trader Joe’s today for provisions for my patio dinner party tomorrow night. So I’m kidnapping my Mom and taking her shopping with me. We also have to go by the post office to mail our BALLOTS. 📬✔️
Tonight after we unload grocieries we will get carry out if we want to stay in or if we’re feelin it we may go out for a patio dinner somewhere. 🤷🏻♀️

It's a professional development day for me today so no students ... kinda boring compared to yesterday when a kid decided to pull the fire alarm right at dismissal ... dumb move since it was all caught on camera (But we all had to evacuate and wait for the fire department ... PITA) I didn't end up at the mall with dd#2 yesterday so we are going today ... woo hoo Then we'll have something for dinner ... I'm thinking maybe Chinese

Hello all. I’ve been MIA, I guess ... too much going on here. blecch I will have the 11yo for the weekend, and I think I’m going to make sloppy joes tonight. Or possibly cheeseburgers, but something along those lines. With the usual veggies on the side. Love the meme, cadoodlebug.

Good afternoon. Not much going on here. Been a bit busy the last few days with chores, helping son a bit, his car died, died and had to make the decision to fix or not. He was going to buy something new after the first of the year, so the timing was great. I think he may still wait til after the first of the year. He can use mine or my mom's car if need be. He works from home so not much running.
We are going to have chicken nachos for dinner. Not sure what else. Think we will dice bell pepper, onions, and jalapenos and call that our veggies.
Love this time of the year. The temp is perfect. Pretty blue skies and colorful trees!
Hope everyone will have a fabulous Friday evening and a wonderful weekend ahead.

Teacher work day, so that was nice. They let us WORK today, no meetings.
We are taking dinner to the in-laws tonight (and this is a close as I'd ever get to camping with them!!). Brunswick stew for FIL and Chinese for the rest of us.
So very happy it's the weekend.

Ddil has a pot of chili simmering on the stove for our pleasure tonight. We might have a small salad to go with.

My dad is at the grocery store now and I hope he gets something for dinner. We had sable fish earlier in the week (it was so good!) so maybe not fish tonight. We had everything this week already. I just want the kids to be home. I miss them so much. They don’t like that far away but it’s a 6 hr round trip.
I need to go mail in my provincial election ballot. Usually I don’t feel the effect of the election but this time I will because the party in power has improved my life for the better and the Liberals will take that away when they clean house.
I have a very dull head and it’s almost a headache but not quite. It feels like a booze hangover except all I drank yesterday was water and coffee and today is the same. I want to be bright and perky though. I want to be happy and vivacious. I will try harder.

I think it's been weeks since I have been on this thread. This school year is just kicking my butt. I am heading to take a nap and then will make dinner. Probably a healthier chicken pot pie recipe I found. I have got the shredded chicken already so it should be too bad to put together. It will be like a chicken and veggie soup for me but it sounds good.

You used to be able to ride a train over it before it was hit by a tornado.

Last night at 11:10 pm our house was hit with what seemed like rapid fire first on our garage then out window. Called the police and found we were paint balled with some breakage. Sounded like someone was trying to break in. Didn’t get much sleep. So today we ordered Thai for lunch and tonight we will have Costco’s chicken tortilla soup.

Finally getting around to checking out the thread. Was up at 4 am, then never could go back to sleep. As a result I ended up napping for 3 hours this afternoon. Felt great but I'll be up late I'm sure. I had electricians here all morning finishing up the exterior can lights. Unfortunately DH discovered a bit ago that they left some wires disconnected in the garage (detached). As a result the corner spots don't work and the garage door openers don't either! The project foreman will be getting a text message first thing in the morning about that. We had some of the very far outer bands of Delta in here today. It was mostly windy, overcast with some very light rain. Perfect day for soup, so dinner was Butternut Squash Soup I made after my nap. That and some crackers were all we needed. Have a great weekend everyone!

Marina how scary!! DD requested homemade wood fired pizzas for dinner, which we ate outside by the fire.

How awful Marina ! Grrrr! This has been 20+ years ago, but son was in what we call the bluff hiking. He was high up on a hill when he hear what he thought were shots. Looked down where his car was parked and someone had shot it probably 30 times with white paint balls. He came rushing in the house, I'm so mad!!!! Just furious. Of course I'm like what's going on. He told me to look outside. I couldn't help but laugh and that made him madder, but he had a polka-dot car and it looked so funny. It didn't do any harm, but the paint being on the car and he did get it cleaned off right away, but that could break windows or put dents in a car! Stupid disrespectful people. Hope you can get the damage fixed quickly. **GypsyGirl** So disappointing when contractors aren't on top of it. Been through that big time when we built a duplex many moons ago. Rafters were installed opposite direction making it impossible to put in a furnace. Had a guy say lunch time, threw his hammer hoping it stuff in a wood framing, but missed and put in through the picture window. Grrrr! Home ownership is not an easy task at all.
