I captured this screen shot a few days ago that shows very nicely the size comparison of male vs female. Their body positions are so synchronized it’s perfect. 😂 (She’s the larger of the two). i sure miss visits to this campus. I’m missing my deer, eagles and my favorite son who is now a college senior.

Yes! My family thinks I'm crazy. I keep up with the Southwest Florida nest and we have a nest about a mile from us. There is also a tree that they hang out in that we drive by daily. I'm always looking to see which one is hanging out there.

I have a picture of a juvenile showing off but can’t post it with my phone. He or she was on our property!

We have a young one that sits in a tree by our lake about a 5 minute walk from our house. He doesn't have the white tail feathers yet. I stood underneath him and snapped away. It was a DSLR, so he kept tilting his head with every click. He's adorable. www.flickr.com/photos/190923518@N06/?

We have a bird sanctuary (state park) across the street from us.. there are TONS of Bald Eagles.. They are always doing camps/bird watching stuff (until COVID of course).. but the pictures posted on FB by people that go over there.. are amazing.... There are up to over 80 Eagles I think.. I'm not really into bird watching but I do love seeing the pictures!

I get so excited when I see bald eagles! It just makes me so happy knowing they're out there. When I was a kid, they were so endangered from DDT poisoning, that you never ever saw them. Now I see them regularly right near my house!!!!

I love eagles. We have some, at the reservoir, in my town (about 200yds from my house). I love to watch them flying and in the winter when the water freezes, you can see them walking on the ice "fishing". It's the coolest thing.

I used to see them all the time when I lived in Alaska, I never got tired of it.

Yes! There is one we have named Fred that hangs out on the 520 bridge heading into Seattle. He has a real name and a mate (Eva I think). But we can never remember his real name...so Fred he is to us.

There is a nest about 7 miles from me, I like to ride my bike there and take photos. This nest is famous in that you can stand on the side of the road, and look down "into" the nest as it is slightly downhill from the road. The nest is too far away from the road to be bothered by people, you have to zoom in your camera for good pics. This nest will attract standing room only at the side of the road when the nest is occupied.

Oh yes!!! I remember writing President Nixon to save the bald eagles. We have a pair that fly over our house a lot. The nest is just across our lake. I LOVE seeing them. I hear them first, and then I can spot them. One was just soaring the other day above my head as I was walking the dogs. I had to laugh because it soars, and soars, and soars. Then just one flap of those wings and off to soar again. Doesn't take much. Just one flap. Beautiful!

My sister-in-law is the executive director of a Raptor protection organization. They currently have a Golden Eagle who is 18 years old. He is AMAZING. Their talons are huge VERY cool birds.

I get it... when I see real close up pictures of their face.. it's almost fierce like... I wouldn't want to go in a fight with one!! But at the same time they are just so beautiful/majestic looking.

I love birds in general (even have bird tattoo) but Eagles are my spirit animal I’m certain. 🥰 We have a huge nest by my work and it’s the highlight of my day driving in seeing our beautiful Eagle couple perched up there. They regularly fly around the area because there are massive orchards right across highway from work. Love watching them when I get the chance.

Oh yes, paigewh their talons! I have two parrots, and even their talons can hurt. I can't imagine an eagle's talons. I also love hawks. Unfortunately saw a dead juvenile red shouldered hawk on my walk the other morning. Looked like it had been hit by a car. It's talons were large even for a juvenile. Hurt me to see the poor thing! And anyone else now singing "The Eagle and the Hawk"? One of our worship leaders LOVES John Denver and plays his music. He was practicing before church this past Sunday and played that. I was in the Narthex just singing! Now another reason to sing it again--this thread!

I never get tired of seeing bald eagles. I live in Minnesota, near the Mississippi River, so I see them regularly.

Unfortunately I have not seen one here. We do have a hawk living some where down the street or at least nearby. They also soar, it is amazing to watch.
I did have close visual encounter with a turkey buzzard, most surprising!! I was driving along a block or do from the NJ turnpike, slowed down and there s/he was feasting on whatever (it looked just like a piece of right cardboard).. Like less then 10-15 feet from me. He looked at me. I quickly moved on.
