I want to start this thread to give a huge shout out and thank you to all of the peas who are so informed and knowledgeable who have taken the time this week to explain things that are happening in our world right now. I won't try to mention anyone because I don't want to miss anyone, but I think you will all know who I am talking about.
I have not only learned so much, but you have all been voices of reason that have calmed me when needed. I have tried to stay off social media as much as possible this week, but I have spent a great deal of time here at 2Peas.
I have a minor in history, and I have always thought I know a lot, but wow, some of you peas are so smart.
Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who has been a voice or reason this week. You have made my week better and easier, and I doubt I am the only one!

I agree! Our peas are so good about sharing their knowledge!
And I want to give a huge shout out to a non-pea who has helped me a great deal as well. Heather Cox Richardson, professor of history at Boston College, and her almost daily Letters from An American, as well as her twice a week YouTube videos, have taught me a lot and helped keep me somewhat sane.

I’ve directed so many people her way, and now share her posts everyday on my own Facebook. I don’t know if my conservative friends and family (the few who still follow me) are reading what she writes, but I hope so.

I am so grateful for all the peas who take the time to answer questions, give us details, share their expertise. I have learned so much here over the years about a wide variety of things and I am so happy for this little place on the internet and the people who make it my online home. This is a special group of people from all over the world and it's amazing how long this relationship has gone on. I want to especially thank the peas who have gone above and beyond this year to keep us educated and informed over all the fun things that have made 2020 the epic horror show that it is. I couldn't have gotten through this election without this place.

Reading the POTUS thread has made me look wicked smart at work. Seriously, they all think I am some political maven. Nope, just the peas!
But truly, I learned a ton about your elections process- thanks so much!

Yes! Totally agree! And with kindness and patience! That’s the key. There are a few yet who are pretty blunt and cruel in answers, but overall I think we have been kind and patient! Thank you!

If I may, I'd like to add to the gratefulness by thanking everyone for being open to learning new things. I love learning new things and it gives me hope that there are so many others who are willing to learn new things too.

I want to say well done and thank you to @freddie for the commitment and hard work involved in the "trump catch all & other scary political stuff" thread it got to Part 37.
I didn't always comment, but I read and I appreciate all your hard work.

It's like we have taken you on the most sickening amusement park ride ever and you've stuck with us. It's not over, but we can now count the days until Inauguration.

I just love the Peas. I consider them my personal Cliff’s Notes on politics and current events, especially on the election results thread. More generally, you Peas have given me alternate points of view that I really appreciate.

I agree. The peas have been so knowledgeable and supportive throughout this. I don't normally read the political threads as they stress me out. But this had me so stressed out anyway and knowing others were feeling the same and also informative was a huge help.
