Free and fair isn't exactly a proxy for stolen election, but I did find this Politico poll - it says 70% - so about 50 million or 15% of Americans. Now granted, a percentage that includes children is a bit silly, so I'll say 23.7% of American adults.huh- isn't this just about the same percentage as Trump's rabid base?? curious.

I’ve seen it listed as anywhere from 20-30%. So 23.7% is spot on.

I think most folks have decided to let him do his thing for a few days so he can see it’s going nowhere. (Like a baby with a tantrum.). I think that’s ok as long as he stays on the side of what he’s legally allowed to do. It’s not going to lead to anything. I pray that you're right!!!

Katie Couric interviews Neal Katyal, who is brilliant. He explains the litigation. Worth your time if you are confused, or have questions. www.instagram.com/tv/CHY1j-slvmD/BTW, he has a series of videos on Instagram about the legal issues. Thank you for posting this link. It was great.

Y’all. I really try to stay out of these political posts, and fully admit that I am NOT the most politically savvy pea out there, but I’m really starting to get concerned/worried/anxious that the pandering to this man’s ego and his refusal to accept the results is leading down a bad road.
I’m trying to listen to the calm and rational voices of y’all that do understand this better than me, but man, it’s 2020 and this year doesn’t have the best track record. And I really think he’s unhinged. How will his people ever talk him down? And will his party seriously let him continue his delusions??

537 votes vs. Just over 10,000 (which is the smallest difference, the others are greater.) Also there seems to be no issue for the republicans with the validity of the down votes. ( As long as a Republican won.)
Also had any of the Republican poll watchers (proven to actually be who they say they are) in the disputed states come forward and stated that they witnessed massive fraud and reported it to their state party during the election? To me that would be actual evidence.
You don't go to court to find evidence. You have to have evidence to go to court.

I just saw this article and I'm having a hard time understanding how the Secretary of State would go on public record saying this. www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/11/10/pompeo-touts-smooth-transition-second-trump-term-after-biden-win/6236591002/I am trying to have faith, but I'm getting concerned about them really trying to find a way to overthrow the election in some shady, underhanded manner. I feel silly saying it, but as you said it's 2020 and the world is a crazy place.

She says you can get disbarred if you knowingly bring a lawsuit to court with no evidence. She said there are already signs that some of the lawyers bringing these lawsuits have been referred to the state bar. Does anyone know for sure?

I very specifically said "ALMOST half"...twice. And 47.5% vs 50.8% is most definitely ALMOST half. The numbers come from the AP.
Apologies for the firewall. LA Times gives out I think 3 free articles a month so if you've used it up already, maybe open it in a browser you don't usually use. That's my work-around. (ETA: I see that Restless Spirit has c&p'd the article - Thank you! )
Here's a few other articles I pulled from that time period - I haven't read them all but they are on topic (NYT behind firewall still - so annoying):
Almost half of those who voted. Not half the country. And that's also assuming that EVERY single Trump voter thinks that there's fraud and that's not the case, either.

In every state I’m aware of it is indeed against the Code of Ethics to prosecute a case without a reasonable belief in the validity of the case. I wish state bars would take these lawyers to task — like the lawyer in Pennsylvania who said the Trump campaign had a “non-zero” number of observers. I’ll be very surprised if the bars actually reach a finding or punish anyone for these lawsuits. Punishment can range from a public censure to temporary suspension of their license to practice - the suspension can be stayed and held over their head for a period of time or can actually be imposed, to bring disbarred. It’s actually very rare for someone to be disbarred.

I... think I am ok with this. NOT because I think there was any kind of voter fraud, but because I think there wasn't. I don't think that federal prosecutors are some kind of cabal who will do Trump's bidding. Really? After the DOJ was going to defend TWITLER against the rape charges you don’t think they are doing his bidding? Barr is so far up his ass that 45 won’t need a prostate exam for years.

Can someone help me with this/ I have a coworker that I would now describe as a rabid President Trump fan. We have agreed to not discuss politics anymore even though initially I found it very educational. Now its just name calling and empty threats. Tonight she posted that PA has retracted their electoral votes and CNN has taken back AZ from the count as well. First off CNN is the site I use to check in on news. I find its format easier to read than most. If I find something I question then I go looking elsewhere. I don't take news seriously at first glance until backed up by other sources. That said, CNN has not called AZ for Biden. Fox did and still does, Politico Did and then retracted it, and I heard the AP called AZ for Biden. CNN still has it grayed out and has since election night. I have no intention of arguing with her but I would like to know where this information is coming from? I can't find anything on any search in three search engines that backs up the PA thing...where do they come up with this stuff? I can't ask her as we agreed not to discuss it and quite frankly she has yet to give me a source even back when she wasn't so ramped up. While we were working at the big job I have yesterday around 4:30-5 pm, a groundskeeper was listening to his phone and had the same story, repeated it to us because he was *cheering* told us that they took away PA and trump won. So of course we all looked at a variety of news sources, reliable and radical right wing, and nothing. We think he was listening to Rush Limburger or Hannity. I told the guy that it wasn’t likely true at all and not to get his hopes up!

Even if they took PA away (which they won’t), at this point it wouldn’t be enough to flip the election for Trump unless 2 more states - Arizona, Georgia and/or Nevada - flipped too, if my math is correct. Giving Trump Alaska & NC brings him up to 232 electoral college votes. He would need 270 to win. PA only has 20 EC votes, which would bring Trump to 252. He’d need two more of the states that haven’t been called yet to hit 270.
