Sometimes I like to just scan my picscan mat rather than use my phone. This has always worked well until now. Cameo lets me scan 1st half of mat but when I try to scan 2nd half the software aborts when I hit scan. Any ideas on what is the problem?
Silhouettes help desk only said update software ( response took a week). I have been avoiding that because I have a cameo 2 and version 3.75 DE (something like that) because it still used the old task bars that I am familiar with. If I must upgrade, then which version should I be using with my older machine?

There was a recent Windows update in September or October which may have caused a conflict, so I can see why they suggested a software update. I would look on the Silhouette site to see what changes are included in the more recent versions of the software. They usually list what is in each update. It can be a pain to read through all of the information, but that might help you decide which version of the software you want to update to. If, however, the problem was caused by the recent Windows update, but there is no Silhouette update later than that, I don’t know if a Silhouette software update will fix the issue. The date of the most recent Silhouette software update is definitely something to check.
Before you even consider updating your software, though, be sure to back up all of your files to your hard drive first, especially those that are not from the Silhouette Design Store.
