If you would like to see a great concert at the White House, look for it on your local PBS station tonight (Friday). Here is a link to a Washington Post story about it.
The best part, for me, was that my husband and I were privileged enough to attend. There was a 2 hour cocktail reception in the White House beforehand, and then another reception with food afterwards. It was surreal to be sitting on a couch in the Green Room eating a plate of food while chatting with a 3-star AF General, looking at John Adams' tea service urn on the coffee table in front of us. It it was a truly magical night with catching sight of Bo being taken for his bedtime walk by a secret service person while we were leaving. notice that Eleanor Roosevelt was a knitter!
