A few days ago, I was outside with the dog and out of the corner of my eye, thought I spotted a Zebra longwing butterfly. I’d seen pics of them but have never seen one in person. I followed it and snapped pic with my phone. I was pretty stoked.

Last Saturday, I was on my way home from a shoot (I don’t do many of those...just don’t enjoy shooting people) and as I was watching the sky knew I had to find somewhere to stop. I parked on the top level of the parking deck in my small town and captured these

And yesterday, I found this on the milkweed I planted a few months ago. I’ve never had milkweed (host plant for monarch butterflies) and although mine was new and I knew it would not be a benefit until next year, I’ve watched it and wondered if it was even healthy. Come to find out these are seeds. They are attached to these white fluffs that are caught in the wind and the seeds being spread as far from the parent plant as the wind carries it. I collected all of these, separated the seeds from the fluff and have planted the seeds elsewhere. My plant is healthier than I gave it credit for 😂

Yesterday I visited a nature center where they take injured animals for rehab. They do so much good work. I got a few pics of the eagle pair. The male The female I hope to see some eagles in the wild today. ❤️🦅

While there yesterday, we heard the eagles calling. I’m not sure if it was the two inside the enclosure, or the visitor from the day before...a free eagle perched directly on top of the enclosure. By the time we made it over, the calling had stopped. i just took a screenshot of the image the center posted. The photographer’s name is there as well as the source of the image. Must’ve been incredible to witness

I love all of these! I took a similar picture of the milkweed in my yard - they're so pretty when they "pop". The birds are just so impressive and gorgeous! TFS!
