I have 3 of these albums and am using 2 for vacation mini albums (we do an annual trip with friends in July and each year 2015-2020 will have a section of layouts and dividers) and 1 for my DD. I've been following CT and some designers on Instagram for more ideas. Does anyone actually use the page protectors that come with the album? Seems like most people cut/punch paper for layouts or use the other sized PP. (which I have and do love.)
Just curious how some of the peas use the albums/page protectors. I really like the size of the albums but the PP it comes with are kind of an adjustment! The few times I've used the included PP I have printed a large photo to fill the space completely.
I really want to get into this album size...seems much easier to store/display than 12x12.

I just ordered 3 from their sale of not quite perfect albums so I don't have any personal experience, but I watch Dearly Dee on YouTube and she uses these albums and page protectors. Here's her playlist if you want to see what she does.

Does anyone actually use the page protectors that come with the album? I definitely use the PP that come with the albums as well as the other styles Citrus Twist sells and ones from other manufacturers with the 6 hole configuration. I had been doing some memory keeping in travelers notebooks so it was an easy transition to use the Life Crafted PP - they're the same size. I really like the album size for creating pages and they fit so much better on regular shelves.
I use them for smaller projects and themes like a trip, a renovation project, DD's marching band, One Little Word, each pet, etc. They're too small for Project Life and I'm ok with that - these serve a different purpose and seem just the right size for individual projects.
I also think they'll be easier than big huge project life albums to divide between the kids after I'm gone. They can each have the ones that pertain to them.

I have a couple of these and I use the page protectors from CT. I use them for small projects that a whole 6x8 is too much for.
They’re ideal for small projects - a weekend away, a special occasion, albums about pets. They are small and they fill up quickly, especially if you like to use dimensional embellishments. I can’t see them being great for any sort of long term documenting (such as over a whole year) or big projects with lots of photos unless you want to end up with many albums, or you take very few photos. I would never be able to use one for a vacation - my vacations sometime span over 3 6x8 albums.
I’ve managed to fill one up just with photos of my dog that I started in August (when he joined our family) and that album is completely flat with no dimensional embellishments. Just photos, cards and journaling. I don’t consider myself someone who has to include ALL the photos either - I’m pretty good at curating to just a couple of photos to tell that particular story.

I have always wanted to try these albums but haven't because I didn't want to pay the price. Thankful for the sale because I just bought a few. I usually work small. My traditional layouts have been 8 1/2 x 11, and lately I have been doing 6x8 which I LOVE so I don't think this will be a problem. I hope I like the page protectors. We will see.

I very rarely use the page protectors. I like the extra inch you get not using them. Also in my 6x8 albums I don’t use them either. I hate buying extra page protectors.

I will have to check out Dearly Dee’s playlist. I do follow her on Instagram (recently at least).
Thanks for the feedback. I am using two of the for our vacations. I figure I will bet 3 or so years in each album. Typically a day per 3 page spread.
Still figuring out DD. Not sure I can get into prepping foundation pages. I kid of need the photo(s) to plan my layout/pockets/spread.

I have a heap of 12x12 albums and we have just downsized and there is just nowhere to store all the albums!

I have a few of these albums and think the size is fun! I have always just used the page protectors, but I've seen others make larger pages without protectors and that's something I have wanted to try but haven't done yet. I'd love to downsize to these albums but I take so many pictures that I don't know if that's feasible. But this size is great when you have only 1 or just a few picture to scrap.

I do use the page protectors it comes with. I like that it gives me the flexibility to do TN-sized layouts. At one point, I was annoyed that so many scrappers were doing (what felt like) more than 50% of their layouts in their TNs. It felt like inspiration I couldn't really use or would have to translate into pocket sized layouts.
Now being able to do TN-sized layouts opens up all that inspiration.

I see that CT just stocked several new colors. I really love this cute little binder but I cannot think of what to use them for since they don't hold too many pages. And I hate having so many albums in various sizes. I may have issues.
What is everyone else using this size for?

I know a few people using these for December Daily type albums - Shannan M on IG, www.instagram.com/shannan_pages/ and ecvnj58 www.instagram.com/er_creates/ and I think Ingunn too www.instagram.com/smultringunn/I think Ingunn has used them for seasonal albums lately too, like a fall favorites kind of thing. I haven't tried them out myself and don't know how many pages will fit inside, but I love the look of them.

I am using one for my 2021 challenges--reading, crochet, Bible Study, etc. I am making like bullet pages. Super fun.

I use them for when I have 1 photo or a few 2x2s or 3x3s that I want to make a layout/story about. I love her albums and I love the colors but I do worry about having a ton of these little albums around because they don't seem to hold many layouts, especially ones with dimension.
I had considered using one for a December Daily but never got around to it. I saw some inspiration on IG and one person had to use 3 of these albums to fit it all in, granted her pages were very interactive and dimensional. As cool as it was, I would never want to use 3 albums for 1 month.

I was also planning on trying to do a monthly type of memory keeping in the TN size for the new year, but I keep debating on using these albums or just doing it in a regular TN booklet each month like CD Simple Dori booklet as I am subbed to that kit.

Me too. I keep going back and forth on the CT album or a regular TN insert. The TN inserts take up so much less storage space.

I’ve been using mine to work on our annual family/friend vacations. I think I will get 3 years in each album. Still working on using the TN sized pages but getting better at “layouts” for that size. I mix in the other PP sold at CT.
If I can ever figure out how to upload a picture I’ll add one with a couple completed layouts in the travel album.
I have one for my DD and I really hope I can squeeze 25 days in there. I didn’t plan on using 2 albums and don’t have another red.

Is Citrus Twist still offering the kits? I have not seen anything new, just embellishment lots. What time is the reveal?

Hope the albums, stamps and embellishments stay popular. I guess not enough subscribers to be profitable with subscription. If she stops caring scrapbook kits with retail collections, it will hurt them a little as well:(

Someone in the family (maybe her) is having a health issue I believe. She sent an email, and now I don't remember the details but she said that new and fun things would be coming in 2021. Does anyone remember that email?

He wanted to spend more time together and the kit side of the business was taking too much of her time. So she shut down the subs amd is designing stand alone embellishments and s a bums so she can be with him more.

julie5 so sad for us but definitely glad she is doing that for her husband. That's certainly the right thing to do. She really has the BEST kit club! Praying for her hubby. Thanks for the details. I don't think I knew that part.

The new album colors are so gorgeous. I wasn't planning on buying anything for 2021 and I purchased 4 albums. I would have regretted not getting the lilac and spruce colors for sure.

These albums are dreamy. Has CT ever said anything about making them in other sizes? I love the look of these, but I take too many pictures to use this small of a format.
