It happened on December 8th last year. If it does happen again, my guess would be that it start on December 6th when their weekly promos start.

I was in Target at 7:00 am yesterday (the sweet spot if you want to avoid other humans) and they announced on the speaker that gift cards would be 15% off on Dec 5th & 6th.
I only remember this because I thought it was kind of weird to be announcing a sale on the speaker that wasn't happening for another week.

Umm 🙋, what is this gift card sale of which you speak? Please. It's the one or two days a year that Target gift cards are discounted so you can stock up on them and save a little money. It usually happens the first week of December.

What about the 20% off entire purchase coupons? There is usually a day where they give you a coupon with your purchase and it can be used on another day.

Is this working for anyone? I have GCs in my cart, but when I go to check out, the total is still $500.

I had to click on the linking the banner advertising the sale at the top of the Target home page (on my computer) and save the offer in order for it to work. The discount doesn't show on the card purchase page, but does show in my checkout page. HTH.

I had to click on the little cart in the top right corner of the offer to add the offer to my cart. I ordered cards for the kids throughout the year, but I emailed them all to myself—I didn’t see how to email each individually. Usually I just mail them to myself, but I don’t trust the mail to get them to Belgium!

When you click the gift card to select the amount, you can click the option of delivery "Mail, E-mail, etc." Just make sure you add multiple gift cards. Then at the check out screen there's an option to select your delivery date (up to 3 months out) and enter the individual e-mail / delivery information, as well as a message (for e-mail, definitely). I just did 4 for teachers and it was totally fine.

So. Silly question. I thought it was 15% off in the past? 10% plus 5% if you paid with your Target card. Did that happen or did I imagine it? This year it's 10% period, so you're saving an extra $25 if you get the max (you'd already save the first $25 if you used your card)

If you pay 9 dollars for a 10 dollar card now, you get an extra 5 percent value when you use it. If you pay 8.55 for a card now - 10 plus 5 percent off now- you would still get 5 percent off if you use it later with circle. I don’t think they want you to do both. ETA is it possible it was actually 15 percent off in past years?

I've been using up my gift card stash and since I'm not paying with my redbird, it's not taking 5% off. Yes, I'm logged in.

I was trying to figure out why Target would not give 5 percent off purchase. I rarely use gift cards and have really only bought for others when I take advantage of this. I was thinking of getting some for personal use, but I guess really only netting 5 percent off may not make it worthwhile.

I mean, if I"m giving them to others, then it's a win for me but if I'm getting them for me, it's not worth it.

I purchased $500 of Target GCs online and paid with my Discover Card. (I got the 10% discount.) Hopefully I'll also get the 5% Discover Card cash back bonus from making a Target.com purchase.

I still had my email from last year and it was 10% then. I'm not sure about other years.
