😂😂
Drives me nuts when I click on “new” on a thread I’ve been reading and it takes me to the first post instead of where new ones start.
sigh....I think more coffee is needed....

LOL, Am I the only one that didn't know the "New" was a button? I thought it was just like a little notice. Cool!

For me, that happens when I don’t quite hit the “new” button - since it is small and I’m usually clicking with my finger on my iPhone or iPad - but hit the thread title instead. Or at least I think that is what is happening. 😀 Especially since when I back out if it is a multi-page thread and carefully click the “new” button it will take me where I left off.

It happens to me on my i pad but not on my laptop. I put it down to not hitting the button right as it's smaller on the i pad so more difficult to "target".

I've noticed it doesn't "work" when I don't tap it right or when it's an older thread that went a few months without being bumped.

Works for me. I'm on a desktop though. There have been many times that I swear I've hit the new button when on my iPad and just miss it, so it goes to the first post. Mildly annoying when it's a long thread.

I have that issue, too. And it happens when I am on my desktop.

I just hate how freaking TINY that button is. I can’t tell you how many times I have trouble hitting it just right because I “fat finger” hit the thread instead. Drives me nuts.

I can understand if you thought you hit the new button but missed it that it would take you to the original post. What I’ve been experiencing is I’m hitting the new button and it will take me deep in to the thread but still at a place that I have previously read and I have to continue to scroll until I get down to what are actually new messages. I thought maybe it was because I used different devices but that’s not it.

For the most part it works for me. Once in awhile it will take me to the first post. And often though it will take me to a post I already read, then I have to scroll a little to find the newer posts, like what was said above me.

That happens to me when I use tapatalk. It also repeats threads and posts within threads will sometimes appear out of order. For example, the first post will be a response to the OP but the OP appears further down thread.

Other times it skips the posts at the bottom of the page I was reading and takes me straight to the top of the next page. Then I have to back up a page and go to the bottom then scroll back up to find where I left off.

It’s me, not the button. Only happens on my phone because it’s small and my fingers are not. I’m actually missing the button and hitting the thread title.

Oh thank you! I’ve always tapped the thread title!

The new button works probably 85% of the time for me. Every now and again it glitches and I start at post 1. Kind of annoying when it's a multi-page thread. I only come here from my desktop, and am clicking with a mouse, so it's not me missing the link.
