Not sure if the general scrapping refupeas get over to the NSBR side but there is a guy who set up an alternate board probably trying to make a grab for ad revenue. It's the "New Board!" thread and is up to 19 pages. He now owns the domain name 2peasrefugees. Don't be fooled into thinking the admin okayed a big move!

I'm pretty irritated that I've tried hard to spread the word for Peas to come here and now they may accidentally go to that new board because it's FREAKIN NAMED THE SAME THING! Ugh. I don't know whether to think he was trying to do something nice or trying to get the power of the Peas for some selfish purpose.

You know...he said he wasn't going to moderate the site. We need to get someone who did join to start posting messages on there with this PSA and directing them here. :-)

I read most of it but I read fast and I guess I'm not grasping it. Why DID he do it? Money. Ad revenue, selling emailaddresses... Several possibilites according to more tech savvy peas than me. He lied about admin being aboard (which she wasn't), and just the fact he stole the 2peasrefugees name and refused to give it back says a lot about his character. |

I just checked it out and so far the forums are very empty. just a few replies here and there. hopefully people will find out the difference and just come here. not to take his side but he was smart to snatch the domain name.

He definitely has motives. He's added his link back twice after the Admin deleted it twice. The Admin posted that after you posted on the thread. I wasn't sure you saw that. That's not the actions of someone on the up and up.

Damn that's sly. I only read the very start of it (maybe the first couple of pages) but I was suspicious when he kept saying "my wife who has been a pea for 10 years asked me to do it" but refused to give his wife's pea name. Surely if he had come out up front and said my wife *well known pea* asked me to do it he would have got a different response. His reluctance to answer questions at all in the first couple of pages didn't bode well.
