My dad always says he doesn't need anything (he hates Christmas but that is another story) but I make sure his stocking has stuff, too. I go practical: hand sanitizer (this year), Bath & Body Works foaming soap that he likes, G2 pens for his crossword puzzles, and a pair of Christmas socks. I always give socks to everyone. I will probably try to find a couple of other things so I'm looking at everyone's suggestions.

I'm giving my dd's "Keyboard Cleaning Putty/Gel" ... it works for cars too ... it would be a good thing to give a dh ... I found it at Amazon I bought some of this after I read about it in the stocking thread.

I always put phone chargers in ours. This year I'm hoping to put some various colored clover seeds as he wants to plant several fields of clover for the deer. But seeds are always good with him no matter what. Since he's been working from home, I totally forgot about the fun socks I was buying him. Off to look for some now. Thanks for the thread and to all for the suggestions.

Blu-rays, DVDs ~ added a few to his Marvel collection this year Captain America and Steelers masks from EtsySome small accesories for our Dickens Village, we add to it for our anniversary on the 22nd most years Baseball caps ~ Captain America and Steelers again. Hmmm, I’m sensing a theme : : They are perfect for the heel part of the stocking to give it shape. No tie, reflective shoe laces for his tri training shoes Rolled up funny t-shirt, ties with a ribbon to save space. Last year was this one. He’s deathly fraud of sharks and was going to swim an Ironman in the ocean. And “I’m fine” is what his mom says about absolutely everything. And this year is this one . When I’m manic I tend to talk. A lot. Very quickly. For a long time. : :: : And he’s so lovely about it, never says anything, never complains. But I know it drives him a little batty. Normally get him tri training socks as well, but he’s got plenty. Or fun/tacky socks that he loves but he has to wear compression socks now and the kind he likes doesn’t have those fun designs. Multi-purpose tool. Hoping he can use it for his bike, if not we need one upstairs. Tickets to (usually sporting) events, but not this year Keychain WalletTritats for his races He likes to cooks so specialty oils and cooking ingredients are always a hit. Before he fell in love with Kindle, books were appreciated. Same with music CD’s. So buying some and printing out a note about it would be good. He just started needing reading glasses this year which I love to give him shit about and he’s taken to putting on a show for me when he puts them on so I’m looking for some super tacky ones for him cause he likes things like that. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Specialty cooking utensils ~ Taking him to Williams Sonoma and Sur la Table Is like taking a kid into a toy store. A pea posted this site for a keychain that holds engraved washers to commemorate whatever you want. It could be something to add to every year for their stockings, with new ones for that years trips. I’m doing one for his triathlons, trying to decide if I only doing Ironman events or not.

I put masks in most stockings this year. Everyone needs extra masks and they sell them everywhere. If he works out, Under Armour came out with a sports mask for like $15.
I usually give a new wallet and sometimes put a gift card in it, usually for a tank of gas at the convenience store up the street.
If you have a TJ Maxx near you they have a large variety of all kinds of stocking stuffers for men, everything from socks to body spray, gadgets, etc. I picked up a new belt for my son, rolled it up and wrapped it for his stocking.

One of the things I got for dh’s stocking is a small jar of Vindaloo seasoning from Penzey’s. Dude loves him some vindaloo—it’s one of his favorite flavors for food. Actually, now that I said that, I wonder if I could use some of it to make a candle or soap or something. I swear, he LOVES Vindaloo.

I got some flashlight gloves for my son, and my two married grandsons. They come in a very little box, and would be perfect for the stockings. They are good for work under the sink where you might need a flashlight! You can look them up at amazon. just search for flashlight gloves--the link was 5 lines long when I tried to put it here!!

He's getting a cigar cabinet/humidor and an espresso machine so I'm hanging his stocking from the cabinet and doing cigars, a cutter, coffee syrup, bourbon minis, and a toothbrush because everyone gets a toothbrush.

We have only been home for Christmas 3 times in 25 yrs. We are home this year so I think I may surprise my husband and kids with stockings! I have never done stockings before. Fun ideas here!
