It doesn't matter how old you are Zoom with kids is the same as Zoom with older people.
Our pastor and I were trying to do a practice Zoom with my 88 year old MIL. I called and told her to check her email for the link at 7 pm. Pastor and I are on and chatting. I call her at 7:10 and ask if there is a problem. Nope. She's doing the dishes! She's the one who asked for our help, LOL.
It worked great. The goal was to have her comfortable enought with it to do church and our virtual coffee hour. She did log on for church, but without video. I called her to see if there was a problem. Nope, wasn't dressed. She complained people didn't mute, Betty wouldn't shut up (true), and told me my hair looked better on Saturday!

We set up a tablet with facebook video for my 90 year old grandma in Germany. This past Sunday, I had a lovely conversation with her nostrils.

So much so that he learned how to use it, which is saying a whole lot. But we hardly ever see him. He watches us, but we often see only a corner of him, including when he’s showing us his PT exercises and how he’s not using his walker (which he is supposed to use after having a hip replacement!)

I Facetime with my parents every couple of weeks. My dad will set the phone on the coffee table while they sit on the couch. I will either see the blinds behind them because it's tilted too high or I only see their bodies because it's tilted too low. Last week dad turned his phone vertical for some reason and I saw half of them on either side of the screen. I guess I can call that progress.

We have a family Zoom every Sunday afternoon which includes family from three different states, from 6 months old (well, with his mama) to my 82 year old mom. Mom is slowly learning Zoom "etiquette", like using the mute button when she yells at her yippy dog. Last Sunday her neighbor/friend dropped by and mom turned the camera off instead of her microphone. Imagine ten of us yelling "Mom!" "Aunt Barbara!" "Nana!" "Grandma!" trying to get her to mute herself, while she and her neighbor (both pretty hard of hearing) happily chatted away!

My son-in-law sent us all Portals. There’s no hiding on a group Portal call! We use our 65” smart TV. It’s just like being in the same room together.

My mom is 86 and she either goes on Facebook video or Facetime. She can figure out how to answer or call us, but then all I see is the top of her head. LOL. Meh, I appreciate seeing her and hearing her "live" no matter what!!
Hopefully my sis can help her navigate a videochat on Christmas. I miss her way too much!
