I’m here to say that the yodeling pickle - that I learned about here - is the favorite stocking stuffer this year. My boys each got one and there has been continuous yodeling going on for an hour. 🤪
What have been your biggest stocking stuffer successes?

I bought Jeremy a fart whistle. And that's all I've heard....all morning... 🤣😂🤣😂 I wouldn’t need that here - I have a windy family 😂😂 The offspring are all still sleeping here. It’s 8:45 and we told my mother to come around 10 for doing gifts so they are all still snoring!

My husband is nearly impossible to shop for. He loves Danny Trejo, so I got him a Christmas message from Danny via Cameo. It was a huge hit. Big smiles.
ETA: No, it's not a stocking stuffer, but we usually don't do gifts and instead plan a trip. Well, that was kind of not on the table for a while, so this was good!

We were supposed to do breakfast at 9 but that hasn’t come to pass. Which is ok because the cinnamon buns aren’t done yet despite what the recipe said.
I’m not seeking anyone out until the rolls are done No presents yet.

I started a tray of bacon as soon as we came downstairs and then switched it out with the Breakfast Egg Casserole as soon as it was done. We just finished eating that - I made it with homemade sourdough bread this year, so it is extra tasty. I’m drinking a mimosa - LOL! The boys are happy - they got a new Xbox and a new Mac. Ds1 has already dived into his edible insects and has finished off the roasted termites. How are you and your kids doing?

I just said breakfast at 11 and dinner at 4. And I left to them whether to come or not. My son did say he would come for dinner. My daughter I'm not sure. But I'm not hanging my holiday on my kids this year. Whatever happens, happens. I tried to focus on Jeremy this year.

And a new winter coat. I'm smaller than last winter. So I needed a new one. Any good gifts for you?

Some Ohio State pajamas and a pair of AirPod Pros for me. I also treated myself to mustard and jam gift boxes from Stonewall Kitchen. 😀 I wish that I were smaller than last year like you, but COVID and a bread machine and no willpower. 😂

Our Christmas miracle was our 17 year old granddaughter spent Christmas Eve with her mother. She is angry that her mother is dating someone seriously, even though her parents have been divorced for 4 years. She hadn't seen her mother except briefly in months. I hope this is a turning point.
We had fun Zooming with our DDIL (love her dearly, she not ex anything to us) and grandchildren. We will do it again today when they are with our son.
DD is coming over later this morning. I have caramel rolls ready to pop in the oven.
We delivered a meal to MIL/BIL last night. It was too cold for her to go out.
I think DH will be excited by the Oh Henry candy bars in his stocking. There are more under the tree, LOL. He loves them and I only find them at Halloween around here.

It has become the highlight of their stockings now. We get a wide variety - we used to get them from Think Geek, now we order them directly from Thailand. The new “flavor” they are trying this year is Black Scorpions. You’ll have to let me know how your kids like the crickets!

The edible insects sound hilarious. I can't imagine my kids eating them... I might have to buy next year as a gag gift

I bet your boys would get a kick out of it. We watched it when Ds was about 8, it led to many jokes and pranks and plenty of chocolate covered insects!

Nothing happening here yet. DS texted and told me he'd be here in about an hour for breakfast and gifts. So we'll open stockings then.
We'll zoom stockings and gift opening with DD.

I bought my OH and DS a Paracord survival bracelet each for their stockings and they both went in man hunter mode. So funny to watch them working out what the gadgets were. Of course I forgot to tell them about the website with the instructions until later.

The big hit for my sons was a small pillow sort of thing that you pump up with a hand pump (like a blood pressure cuff uses). It’s for leveling things like your oven. You slide the pillow under the object and pump up the pillow. Then you adjust the foot and release the air. It’s so you can level things by yourself. They both have homes now so they were thrilled. The DILs liked the face masks.

We gave our adult daughters Carpool Karaoke microphones - bluetooth and they were a big hit. The girls faces lit up and the lights were flashing on the mics. I knew the grandchildren would love them too.
