no, but what you are suggesting is possibly the only way i could read two books concurrently. i tend to get a bit obsessed when i read anything that interests me. so i think it would be tough. but no way i could read two fiction books at the same time - i think my brain would be fried?!?!

I read several at a time. I have my current main read - usually, though not always, fiction. I also read a spiritual book in the morning, a non-fiction in the downstairs bath, a non-fiction while I brush my teeth, and a chapter or so of a classic in the morning. I thought I was the only one who had a “teeth brushing” book 😁 I just started a year or so ago, but I love it!

Yup, I usually do 2 at a time, and rarely 3. One upstairs, one downstairs usually, but I'm also reading Obama's book and it is simply so long I cannot read it all at once. When I get closer to the end of a book, I will bring the book wherever I need to be since I want to finish it. I am amazed at those who can listen to books. I know a lot of people like that, but my mind wanders too much. When I read the words, I am lost in the world. Not the same for listening. It's funny you say that because I almost exclusively listen to books. I just don't have the brain power/concentration to read after a day of work. In response to the OP, I only do one book at a time. See concentration issue up above. And I don't have the brain power to listen to books! I love how we all complement each other!

I don't usually read more than one novel at a time, but I read multiple non-fiction books simultaneously. Right now, I have one novel going and 7 non-fiction books. The non-fiction is mostly loosely thematic about an area I'm focusing on in the first half of 2021 for work; reading them concurrently actually helps me make more connections and come up with more new ideas/applications than reading them consecutively. Two of the non-fiction are completely unrelated and purely to learn more about subjects I'm interested in.

I only have one book that I’m reading at a time but I like to have a nook I’m reading and an audiobook for when I’m on the treadmill or cleaning or in the car. It helps for the subject matter to be very different so I don’t get confused.
