On December 2, I ordered an expensive for nail polish package for Christmas. It was packaged really cute in an ornament box. With Priority shipping and handling and taxes, etc, it came out to around $75.
Was sent out December 4, and tracking stopped December 10. No updates since that point.
I reached out the week of Christmas and asked the company if there was anything they can do...I wasn't happy about the situation as that was an expensive present and I was hoping to get a refund so I could purchase another present. But, this year sucks, it's just nail polish, in the end not a big deal so I wasn't snippy about it when I asked. Not the company's fault, not the PO office, just a really sucky situation.
The reply back was...'If you couldn't be bothered to put a service ticket in with the USPS, I don't know what you expect us to do."
Ok, now I'm getting pissed. I already told you what I wanted. A refund. Package was insured. They would get their money back. I was nice in my inquiry, I was expecting politeness in return.
I put in a ticket with the post office and got a standard reply saying they were behind in shipments due to unprecedented demand blah blah blah, but no real update on my item. At this point, I decide I'm going to wait a few more weeks and then initiate a chargeback.
THEN TODAY I got an email from them asking for me to review their product. THAT I HAVEN'T RECEIVED.
I know it was automated. I know it's just nail polish. But these last few weeks have been horrible and I've been doing my damn best to slap a happy face on and make Christmas a merry fucking time for everyone. This email made me snap.
So I sent a reply back to the customer service agent who asked me what I wanted her to do.
Not my best moment. But damn, do I feel better.

I’m still waiting for a box from my sister on the East Coast. She sent boxes to both me and our other sister (who lives down the street from me) on 12/17. Sister’s arrived before Christmas. Mine, the PO keeps sending notices that it’s coming, but it never comes.
I’m not worried, I had similar situations with several other shipments and they all showed up eventually.
Your box, though. What the HELL kind of customer service is that? Unbelievable. I’d be mad, too.

Yes but unfortunately it is coming through international mail so I’m not cranky about the delay - it will get here eventually and fortunately the proposed receiver of this is understanding.

Yes, presents for friends. If they ever turn up I'm making them new year gifts instead of Christmas ones. Also we received one Christmas card this year and that was posted in November!

Yes. Still waiting for a box from ds in Georgia, and they're waiting for two from us. I mailed four to them -- all four were dropped into the bin at the same time, yet only two have arrived. I'm going to wait till after New Year's then I'm going to be filing for the insurance that's supposed to be on priority packages.

The package I sent to my DS in Australia is still not there. Well, it is tracked as arrived in Melbourne on Christmas Eve, but nothing further. I know there have been a lot of non-working days between then and now, but I really hope they can get it out before the weekend, when my second DS has to leave Melbourne and return to Canberra.

So I heard a rumor about packages at least in our area (I say rumor because it came from someone that works for our area post office and told my best friend) Anything that was in our mailed the week of Thanksgiving and the week after are now in a storage facility annex and will not be sorted and wont be mailed until at least late January or Early February. I just cant quite believe that, no matter how far behind they are. But at this point I kind of expect that.

Unfortunately, 2 scrapbooks I made for my niece and sister in law are sitting somewhere in a post office in Philadelphia, not moving for the past 3 weeks. I am now up here and could have brought the damn package. I have high hopes they will get it eventually. I had just wanted them to have it for Christmas. I ordered an additional gift for a friend on Christmas day and feel confident that will arrive very soon.
A friend told me he saw on the USPS notifications that my Christmas card was due to be delivered that day and it never made it to his mailbox. So I prepared another one to mail, but as it would happen I went to see my mom 2 states away and he lives near her so I personally delivered it. Hadn't seen him in probably 15 years. Had a lovely chat with masks and plans to get together post Covid.

I just checked and now the status is "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility Greensboro nc network distribution center" - it actually LEFT Maryland and is now in NC??? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm, what!? I also sent an ipad in to Gazelle. I sent it dec 10, and it stopped moving on the 14th. I hope they get it. =(

I ordered some specialty cookies for my mom and dad on December 10th. Last update was on the 18th and USPS said they were in transit somewhere between IL and MI. I'm betting they don't arrive until next week, if at all. Luckily I didn't spend a lot of money on them.

I have had several packages come through my town (was scanned an Don the tracking) but were then sent on to Smyrna, TN which seems to be a black hole of UPS to USPS delivery. They have sat there anywhere from 6 days to two weeks
Three packages still out there in limbo.
I have a friend who works for UPS corporate and the stories she tells. Including when she and her coworkers were directed to link up with a brown truck and pick up packages to deliver in their private vehicles. Only problem is that there was no accountability as to who picked up what, just random UPS people picking up random packages. I feel sorry for any drivers who might be in trouble for mis or in delivered packages.

I too opened a ticket with USPS and was sent a form reply. Basically, “So sad it is taking so long. Too bad.”

I ordered a jacket from Eddie Bauer on Dec 9 and it hasn’t shipped yet. I’ve chatted with them twice and keep getting stock answers about shipping companies having delays, blah blah blah. I pointed out that the shipping company hasn’t even received it yet! I would cancel but it was a super deal for $99 and I haven’t gotten a new winter jacket in about 6 years.

Not a present, my 2020 ornament which I didn't realize was coming from China...
I ordered November 7th, the last update was December 1st. Amazon said it would be here by the 22nd. Since then the tracking has disappeared, I've contacted the seller twice and Amazon says I'm not eligible for a refund and have to wait for the item to show it's been delivered or something. It was only $2 so I don't care about the refund but I'm frustrated. If I'm supposed to give leniency because of "COVID delays", then why did the tracking disappear? So stupid.
Meanwhile I ordered a different ornament (for a normal price and made sure it was not coming from China) that will be here tomorrow...

I received my Peanuts Christmas-themed Bark Box yesterday, which was shipped on the 13th. The package I'm concerned about though, is my old iPhone I shipped back to TMobile. I mailed it on the 12th, but it's been sitting in the Dallas-area with no updates since the 19th. I'm kinda pissed about it because I can't get my bill credit until they receive it.

Luckily everything got here. My mom is still waiting on some though.
We had one issue with ups. On the day the item was supposed to be delivered, the driver entered that it couldn't due to the business being closed at 3:59 pm. I live in a house. I called ups said they'd make a note and it would be delivered the next day. The next day ups shows an exception that says the package has been abandoned by the seller and me. I call again.
Turns out it was lost or damaged and they were just putting things in. They finally contacted the seller to let them know.
I contacted the seller as well and asked if I paid for a new one and faster shipping if they would just refund the first order since ups would be reimbursing them.
No problem, they sent me a new one right away I am very impressed with the company. The print made it 3 days later (last Monday)

That sucks about your phone. I know when I've turned one in to Verizon, they make us use FedEx and as soon as FedEx scans and accepts it, we get the credit or notification

The christmas gift I shipped to Brooklyn on Nov 24 took 3 weeks to leave my state, and has now been in NYC Metro Station, then White Plains, then Newark, and now back in NYC Metro today. I shipped Priority 2 days, and paid $33.00. It has now been traveling for 5 weeks. I expect the Cookies are stale now.

I got one yesterday that I ordered Nov 28. It was a T-shirt from Etsy and was supposed to be a gift for my DD21. Before I ordered all the reviews were positive. After ordering I kept getting notification that label had been printed and the facility was waiting for the package and I should receive Dec 3-8. Then they noted on the site that they were overwhelmed with orders and anything new ordered would not be delivered in time for christmas, and people were posting complaints about past due orders. Then the site had a 'person is away' message. I really did not think I would see the shirt but it showed up yesterday.

I'm still waiting on a package that was shipping international. I suspect they didn't actually ship it until 10 days after they said they shipped it based on tracking information that finally appeared. But, it landed in NY this week, so at least it's in the country now.

Mine was sent from Switzerland (I'm on the east coast USA) in early November, with Priority A (the most expensive) way. It was a tiny package, like a large fat envelope. Still isn't here. On the bright side, my encouragement card to my cousin, who lives 100 miles away, got there yesterday, 3 weeks after I mailed it.
