The question was do you like beards on men?
I’m doing online dating (single ladies’ thread) and I don’t even look at men without beards. For some reason clean shaven faces are a real turn off. Bonus points if they have a hairy chest.
So how do the peas feel about beards or mustaches?

I don't like beards on men. That being said, DH has a beard, and I like it on him.
Edit to add, I guess I should have specified he also has a mustache. I don't think of them as 2 separate things, they are connected.

I didn't used to like beards, but I've become a fan lately. I like DH with about three days' growth - he can't really grow a full beard as it's all patchy - and I've always liked his chest hair.

Up close, I find myself really carefully examining a full beard for food debris. But I do like the looks of them in general.

I do not like beards. A little stubble is fine. Same with chest hair, a little or a little more than a little is ok. *hairy* chest, no.

I don't think I have an opinion one way or the other. My DH doesn't have a beard, but some guys look really good in them. Now when they tend to go all ZZ Top with them, it's a big nope from me.

Jeremy has a moustache and goatee. That's plenty of facial hair for me. I also like a hairy chest

I like DH with about three days' growth Yeah same - I love the scruffy look! I don't mind beards (except the "yeard" that DSO grew a few years ago - YUK!). I really like a goatee. I'm not a fan of just a moustache, and if I were single and on a dating site, I would scroll right past any man who was sporting just a mo with no beard. Unless it was obvious that he was doing it for a piss take or for Movember.

Love them. Dh always insisted he couldn't grow one and then did during covid and he's keeping it.

It’s a “no” for facial hair on men for me.

I am extremely anti-facial-hair, to the point where (granted I'm not dating but) I think it would be a deal-breaker for me.

When I was younger a hairy chest was appallingly. Now it is my jam. Now back hair? I usually find that revolting but somehow with my last dude it was acceptable. Not something I would choose but it is amazing what is acceptable if you really like the guy....
Male bodies are weird...

OH grew a beard after we met, but I think it suits him.
I am also his barber/hairdresser and trim his hair and his beard, so I can make sure it doesn't get too crazy!

Nope. The most I like is a good 5 o’clock shadow, then it’s gotta go.

When I met my DH, he had a goatee and mustache and I liked it. He was considering growing a beard so I convinced him to shave it all off and start from scratch. Uh no. He looked twelve years old. I woke up in the middle of the night and I had no idea who he was. So no, I prefer at least a goatee and mustache on him. He will occasionally grow a beard, but I short, well kept one. I HATE the long straggly beard that seems so popular with men these days. HATE.

Depends on the man; they work on some guys but not others. But I never like big Yukon Cornelius beards, and you see those pretty often in this neck of the woods.
Not a fan of hairy chests, or hairy dudes in general.

I don't particularly care for facial hair - DH typically shaves weekly and DS has a mustache (that DD14 calls a caterpillar) - he wears it to hide his baby face

I'm not a fan of facial hair. A couple of days of stubble is ok. I like when my boyfriend doesn't shave for a day or two. Any more than that is a big nope.

I like a little stubble on DH but no more than that. Every once in a while he’ll tease me by shaving everything but a mustache. I really, strongly dislike a mustache. I have a reaction similar to Michael’s when Toby comes back for all The Office fans. Stubble? Fine. Goatee? Fine. Groomed beard? Fine. Mustache? NO. But I do prefer him to be clean shaven. I don’t have feelings about a hairy chest either way. DH does have a hairy chest.

I like a well-trimmed beard.
I think goatees and mustaches are creepy AF, and I dislike long beards, too. (Unless it’s on a hipster dude and it’s super maintained, but none of that duck dynasty shit.)

My dh has a mustache. In nov/dec he will grow a beard, for deer hunting, and just winter and being a logger. But I hate it. I usually can't wait til he shaves it. I don't mind it when he has like a 5oclock shadow.

I prefer clean shaven. DH tried to grow a beard a couple of times, but it was so scraggly he shaved it off. But two years ago, he tried again and just let it grow but trimming it when it needed it. Took him a good year but last (the one before this) Christmas he was able to play Santa without the fake beard. He likes it and with the beard kit he got for Christmas, at least it's softer now.

Well, yeah, but so can ours be ... we’re probably just more inclined to shave/wax/pluck them to “standard.” I’m certainly not letting my chin hairs grow out so DH can see if he likes them. 😂

DH changes facial hair as much as he rearranges furniture - 4-5x a year! I’m cool with it. His default tends towards goatee or very trimmed beard. He says he keeps it now to balance his “fivehead.” Hairy chest, arms and back, which weren’t ever my thing but I adore him. He’s now entering the nose/ear hair, and he is not a fan, for which I am grateful. I’m not a fan of the scraggly beard on anyone.

I am the total opposite of you! I like clean cut- maybe a little scruff sometimes. And chest hair is a big turn off for me and hair anywhere else- down below... I like my men smooth.
