We are building a house and it is time to finalize my paint choices. The majority of the house will be Light French Gray(Sherwin Williams). I have chosen Sea Salt for our master bedroom, bath and walk in closet. My indecision is with our bedroom. I’m not sure why. I chose that color because I want something calm and a spa like feeling particularly in the bath. Since it all flows together I just figured I would have it all the same but now I’m second guessing myself. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Just know whatever color you pick is going to look darker on the wall than it does on the swatch. Ask me how I know, LOL. I chose the lightest teal for my bedroom at our cabin and it is soooo dark. It’s a whole lot darker than I imagined it would be once it was on the walls. I wish I would have chosen something even lighter.

be sure to do a test swatch before your painter goes and buys all the paint!
yoou can do your bedroom and bath the same or you could carry the color from the rest of the house into the bedroom and then do the sea salt in the bath only. if you tire of it, you just have one room to paint.
i used to want rooms of different colors, now i really don't. of course, i don't have kids begging for a pink room. BUT, you could give them a "pink" room just with bedding curtains and accessories.
good luck choosing.

I did the same thing in my bedroom when the chocolate brown/blue was popular... kind of wound up with smurf blue...dislike it now...

Fortunately, I have lots of windows. I was going to say anything but grey. I like your idea of painting the bedroom like the rest of the house for now. It would be easy to paint it if I really like the bathroom color. Wouldn’t my DH love to paint in a brand new house🤣

I think it’s impossible to know without putting it up on your walls to see if you like it.
Do you have some pictures to share? I’m not familiar with that color. Edgecomb Grey seems to be super popular around here.

I painted my bedroom SW sea salt last year. It is hard to decorate because depending on the time of day, it looks grey, pale green, or baby blue. I want to repaint it to a more neutral color, but I haven’t had time.

Our supposedly neutral whole house common rooms paint color does the same thing. And even different walls colors look different at the same time. And the ceiling, the flat, 40 foot long ceiling looks different in different parts of the room. Such a PITA.

I painted my bedroom in SW repose grey. It looked like a different color on each wall depending on the time of day.

My home is primarily Perfect Greige and my pop color is Sea Star. My toy room and kitchen accent wall are that color. My powder room is Sea Salt. I love the vibe. My whole first floor flows in a very calming way. Dinning room is done in 2 shades that are in the darker Greige family.
Sea salt is beautiful. The color can vary though dependent on the natural light. If you have a lot of windows in one room in may look lighter...... that may cause a nice variation!!!
I say go for it.

Picking colors was agonizing when we built. We did everything in a lightish value and then went darker in our bedroom. I am working on changing 2 of the 3 lightish colors to something different and think our bedroom color will be the last I'd ever change. We really just sleep or spend late hours in there and I love how cozy the dark color feels.

You can have the color made 50 % or however lighter degree you choose. This is what I usually do. HTH.
