Both my Mom and I need new printers. Were going to look tonight at Best Buy and Staples.
I've heard good things about the Epson EcoTanks.
Does anyone on here actually have one though? Thoughts to share and model # if you do.

I’m going to quote myself. Ha.
Here’s what I posted back in November on the general scrapping board:
“I just returned an Epson EcoTank ET-3760 to Costco this weekend. It repeatedly had paper feed issues. It was pulling in the paper part way, wrinkling it and jamming. We could not get it to work consistently. They no longer had any in stock, so I'm back to researching printers. I read so many reviews and now I have to start over. The reviews were actually pretty good. Maybe we just got a dud. Make sure you buy it from some place that has a good open return policy.”
What did print seemed OK. Nothing really great, but I loved the idea of not having to change out the ink cartridges.
I’m still looking for a printer so I will be interested in hearing what other peoples experiences have been with the Epson eco-tanks.

Might want to call Staples and check inventory before you make a trip. Ours have had almost no printers in stock since the end of the summer. I have seen zero HPs in all that time.
That said, I had to upgrade printers when I updated the iOS in my Mac. HP no longer supported the scan to pdf function that I have to have for work. I went with the Epson ET-4760. It is one of the Eco Tanks. Pricier than I wanted , but they support scan to pdf and in an area with three Staples stores, there was ONE in stock. No other options available.
I have been happy with it so far. Ink consumption seems on par with the super ink economical HP that I had to replace.

I have the eco tank 2760 and it is great for printing things. I wouldn’t use it as a photo printer, but love it for every day printing. I have had it since Dec 2019 and am not even half way through the ink, and we print a lot (homeschoolers). I love the duplex feature on the 2760.

I think the one we are looking at is the 2770 so should be similar. Thanks. 👍🏻

We both have printer they’re just old and slow and don’t always do what we telling it to. 😂

I don’t have Epson, but the HP version is amazing. The ink is so freaking cheap I can’t even believe it. I had such an old printer I couldn’t even air print with it. My mom is wanting one, but the HP like I have is sold out. I am going to see if we have better luck finding the Epsons you guys mentioned.

Oh I didn't know HP had a tank one out too. I'll look for those tonight also. I'm not particular to brand, just like the idea of the tank system.

I have an ET-2760 since it printed the highest resolution of all the models. I do print pictures and the hey are fine for me. I think my HP printed more vibrant. I’ve this Epson it since 12/25/2019. It replaced an HP all in one (which was old). I’ve had some issues with this one and had to uninstall reinstall the software. It just seems more fiddly than any HP I’ve owned. However, ink isn’t an issue like my HP. More often than not I couldn’t find my type of HP ink cartridge anywhere in town and it’s was $$$. The amount if money I spent on HP ink cartridges I could have bought 10 of these printers. I’ve not even used 20% of my ink (and it came with the printer).

About a year ago I bought the Epson ET 3710 last year and have not had any problems with it. We have printed from Mac desktops, iPhones and iPads easily. It's been nice not to have to spend a fortune on ink cartridges. Even though I print a good bit (no photos though) I am still using the ink that came with the printer. The color reservoirs are still above the 3/4 full mark, while the black reservoir is just below the 3/4 mark.

Another thing to consider is if you want to print with card stock. I did not go with the Epson printers because they would not easily print card stock (viewed them at Micro Center and did not have rear tray feed)and we print a lot with card stock using the rear feed tray (Canon TS6320, purchased a few months ago).

I purchased an Epson ET 2720 a couple of months ago and so far I love it. I've printed about 2/3 of a ream of paper with it and can barely see any drop in ink levels. The rear paper tray feeds easily and smoothly. This printer replaced my 11-year-old Epson photo all-one which was still working but had developed a clogged jet which I couldn't get unclogged and also an increasingly occurring glitch in the paper feed. The print quality is very good although I can't speak to the quality of actual photo printing since I haven't printed anything on photo paper at this point. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this printer with the caveat that I can't speak to its longevity.

Well we both ended up buying the ET-2760 last night. We checked them out in BestBuy but we couldn’t get an employee to help us to save our lives so we left. I got home and found them on Costco’s site for $50 less. Done! They’ll be here Wednesday.
Thanks ladies for your feedback!

Mine is a 2750 & for the most part I love it. I am into making junk journals & buy digital journal kits. I do LOTS of printing & I spend way more on paper & cardstock than on ink. I am happy with the quality of print. My only complaint is that it doesn't like it when I try to print on card stock that it thinks is too thick. It just spits it out. I will never go back to a regular printer. The ink cartridges are too expensive.

I've had the 2550 sine 2015. Saved me the price of the printer in the first three months. I was in Grad school printing article like mad. Just the savings on cost of the ink justified the price. Since I have bought it I have had to buy ink twice, not bad for 5 years. I don't have any problems with cardstock. When I occasionally print pictures they come out decent.
