...from the old board?
My little guy is 2 weeks old and poops like it's an Olympic event. Vaseline and Desitin have worked as barriers up until now.
I believe Neosporin and maybe an antifungal cream were part of the ingredients.

I saved it. I'll go find it and come back here to post. Little Gooby-Bottom needs a fix!

ScrapWench's diaper rash cream recipe:
posted by mamatobabyA with her note at the end: 1 tube of ladies 7 day vaginal yeast cream (any generic) 1 30gr (1 oz) tube of hydrocortisone ointment (for redness and irritation)
mix together in ointment jar and apply a thin layer between diaper changes up to 3 times a day. Then frost the buns with a thick layer of barrier product: Desitin (not the creamy) A&D ointment or even vaseline/petroleum jelly.
If skin is broken, add a tube of polysporin or bacitracin for the antibacterial properties.
I added Mylanta to it when DS has a bad rash from teething that was obviously burning.

My dr always recommended a tube of a&d and a tube of desitin with maalox mixed in well. It always cleared it up overnight.

ok, So this is going to sound crazy, but it WORKS!!! Our oldest DS had a diaper rash from hell! He was sick all of the time and on antibiotics, a lot, so his butt was so bad sometimes. My Aunt said that when we were little ( im 40) my grandma would make up browned flour to put on our butts. I was all " WTF" she said try it..... I did. it WORKS!
So you take your basic White flour and you cook it dry in a pan until it starts browning. when it starts turning brown, just keep stirring it in the pan to get it all. Set it aside and let it cool completely before using it on your kid. We used an empty spice shaker to put it in and put it on our kid. I would just sprinkle some on his bottom every diaper change until it cleared him up. If he was bad, I would put a little bit of vaseline on him then the flour so it would stick. But if I could catch the rash as soon as it started, I usually could get it under control before he got bad. Depended on if he was on meds or not. I used this with all 3 of my kids and my Niece. Worked on all of them. My sister thought I was nuts. But it works!

More people know about it than I thought!

I have never heard of browned flour.
But for all 3 of my kids - I put vaseline on after almost every diaper change - kept the skin moist and repellent LOL and I never had a child wiht a diaper rash. I had 30 week preemie twins wiht fragile skin - and the vaseline was a miracle.

That diaper rash recipe also works great on heat rash, btw. Saves me during our hot sticky summers!

My DD was having some rash issues from pads when she first got her monthly bill (July in Vegas is not a fun time to start wearing "a mattress", as she called them), so I mixed up a batch of the recipe Scrap Wench posted and it worked like a dream! My husband uses it like the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding used Windex. He has yet to find a rash (or anything else) it doesn't clear up in 48 hours.
