I received a Bundt pan for Christmas. I also have a vintage one that has been used for holding odds and ends.
Do you have any tips for baking? I used it first time yesterday, and I am happy to say that my cake came out cleanly.
Do you have any recipes to share?
Do you hang your pans on the wall? What do you use? Both of my pans are heavy, and don't have a hole for hanging them.
Thanks! Chris

Don't use aerosol spray oil in them, even though it's so much easier. I have ruined a couple that way - I'm not sure why, but the spray ends up leaving a sticky film over time.
I don't have any specific recipes to share, but I've made Yvonne's apple bread in my bundt pan a time or two (it's in the recipes section here).
I have two now, one hangs on the side of my cabinets next to my sink on a nail through the center hole, the other is less fancy and just hangs out in the cabinet.

I use cake release brushed inside of mine and they pop right out. It’s a mixture of equal parts vegetable oil, vegetable shortening and all purpose flour blended together. You paint it inside the pan with a pastry brush and it’s so much less messy and works so much better than trying to grease and flour a pan with all of those nooks and crannies. I mix it up in a mason jar and store it in the fridge.

We use Bakers Joy spray--it has flour in the spray oil.

Where was this post Sunday? I made a lemon bundt. Half of it came out clean and half was a mess of bits and crumbs. I still put it on my domed cake stand and I still poured the glaze over the whole mess. On the plus side, it was delicious.
I think I'm going to make some cake release and give that a try.
My word for 2021 is CAKE. As in, I'm going to make a cake every Sunday for my family to enjoy.

Set a timer for 10 mins. Pop the cake out of the pan 10 minutes after it has been removed from the oven. This stuff is perfection.

It's been very popular on the Cooking with Southern Living FB page.

Bianca: I think that a year of cake is a wonderful idea! Chris We did a Summer of Pie a couple years ago. It was pretty fabulous! I didn’t even make every kind of pie I know how to make.

I've become a bit of a bundt pan expert since moving to Minneapolis 1-1/2 years ago. I now live about 20 minutes away from the Nordic Ware factory. They make some gorgeous pans. "Library Lade" you are right. Nordic Ware says to use Bakers Joy in your pans and nothing else.

I make Monkey bread in mine. I use the recipe on the back of the Brigford rolls package.

I found a recipe on Pinterest for a butter pecan upside down Bundt cake, but I realized I’ve never bought a Bundt pan. So I thought, “This angel food cake pan I inherited from my mom should work, right?” WRONG! The angel food pan is two pieces, and half the buttery, sugary goop dripped right out through the crack onto the floor of the oven.
The cake and what was left in the pan tasted pretty good, though.
