myboysnme - I was more mindful of "simple pleasures" this month as I created my layouts! Kind of a "gratitude" concept, taking pleasure in the small things in my life that make me smile. Like this cat-on-a-leash! But I hesitate to post in the Donna thread because they don't feel worthy? Like I actually need to title a layout "simple pleasures?" I know that's not the case (sounds stupid when I say it out loud!) so maybe I'll go over there and post This layout took me a week. It was fussy - cutting the background papers, stitching all of them. Figuring out embellies (my new sunshine die arrived yesterday, saving me!) I even did ink blending on the centre pieces of the sun so that it fit in with the pps. In the end, although it's an EYEFUL, I really like it. Yet, ironically, this truly not a "big event" layout, but just a "simple moment/joy" layout!!! layout into the wild by kirstendrew, on Flickr

This has been a really great month of sharing peas! I'll put comments in the gallery, but need to add: joblackford , an AMAZING crop of new cards. KikiPea , you've been really on a roll! I notice this month a slightly grungier edge to your layouts and you really rocked the look. "Real Life" - those PP flower petals are amazing, and the exclamation point using the leaf/brad is a fabulous illusion. "photo op" - love the distress and the triangles used to bracket the photos - I'll be stealing that, thanks!!! "let's party" - again, great bracketing of the photos with the chevrons "details" and "make new discoveries" - amazing how your layout became an expansion of your photo colours/feels! "range cafe" - oh, those CLUSTERS, OH! teacherlisa - your 2 colour choices and blocking really is gorgeous with the photos, love how your embellishment flower balances the photo on the first page and how your title stands out! Linda - you are rocking it this month, I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder? I love how you are offsetting photos this month. I especially appreciate your pandemic layouts, and those cards on the family games layout! jjpeapea - absolutely ADORABLE easter card!

Here is a LO I started yesterday and finished this morning, about the bitter sweet few days dgs got to spend with his dad after his dad's mom passed away. Thankfully they will all be together again come June, and this time to stay! Hello Goodbye by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And here is a grid I put together during today's Virtual crop. Grids are not really my thing, but I got to make it work for these photos of dh's virtual birthday celebration. Works b/c there were lots of small, not very clear photos. And I got to play with a bunch of 2x2 PL cards that have been sitting in their tub for awhile. Celebrate 75 virtually by Gramma Dee, on Flickr On both these LO's I got to use some smiley faces from my pack of emoji papers, so it was win-win-win!
POINTS: four pages created & shared (8). R-3 twenty-one photos for Donna challenge (21), P-3 three pkgs of thickers on one LO (3), and seven pkg on the other (7), P-4 those bd PL cards are at least two years old (2), P-6 Eleven PL cards (11), P-8 one frame (1), S/I-1 stars (2), S/I-3 twelve circles (12), S/I smiles (4), T-2 diecut circles (2), T-4 stamped dates (3), T-5 inked edges (4), W/T-1 Hello (1), W/T-5 texted messages (2), W/T-6 title journal date (2), Th-1 birthday pages (2), Th-5 all from 2021 (4), N/S-1 three photos (1) n/S-3 at least 3 patterns on each LO (6), N/S-5 nine mini photos (9). Total: 107.

This is the one I worked on yesterday during the online crop. Love cropping with all of you!
Handmade all of the circles, they started as naked chipboard, first inked in white then stamped. Of course all buttons must have something through the holes!

Yay, I finished a layout in less than a week This photo...I cut (you can see the lines) accidentally when it got stuck to a piece of pp I was trimming. I haven't got a clue where the negative would be (pre digital) and I love the moment, so I wanted to get it onto a page before it got more damaged! The word "gentle" is cut out of an old KI fabric paper, which is why the edges look fuzzy- they are slightly frayed. layout 2 gentle boys by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Another wonderful page, craftymom101 . Sweet photos. I love how the background cs ties in with the water, and the torn edge on the tan piece looks like a sandy beach. Great use of the gold stars, too.

Here is my final layout using the March {Not} Just For Boys kits. That kit didn't really appeal to me, as it's not colours that I usually use. But after seeing your page I've changed my mind hahaha - wow, I love your page! And those gold letters and stars, so lush!
