Subscription Service from Persnickety Prints, 30 4x4 fuji photographic prints for $19.99 a month. What say the Peas? www.persnicketybox.com

In theory, its a great idea. I think they missed on the 4x4 size though. 4x6 photos are just standard. I also think the price is high for someone, like me, who doesn't take a bunch of photos a month.

Honestly, I'm a little disappointed. I love Persnickety and was hoping for an app that was more user friendly for their site, or something to replace the PL app. This isn't anything I would use. The size is odd. I wouldn't want boxes of loose photos every month. I do think its good to get people to print photos instead of relying on digital storage, but idk if this is the best option. There is a company that does something similar (I can't think of the name) to this except they send little photobooks instead of boxes.

hahahahahahahahaha! I hope they get some business from people who are into that kinda thing, but I don't need a special box (ie: dust collector) with 30 4x4 prints (funky size for me) each month. I like Persnickety Prints, but I don't think this is geared towards people who already do memory keeping.
I think it would've made sense to maybe offer a box at the start that you would then add the monthly prints to each month. One box / year seems like less clutter, but I'm not sure how the logistics would've worked out on their end for one box / customer / year. /shrug.

67 cents a print is not a bargain. And I rarely need 4x4.
Seems odd to me, and it seems that your not really getting any benefit from a subscription like that.

I'm not interested because of the odd size.

4x4 prints are perfect for Instagram photos.
So an instagrammer joins this subscription. Holy cow! They think — I have all of these photos. I should do something with them.
New wave of scrapbookers.
Wishful thinking🤣

I love the quality of PP and wish the idea of the "box" was something you could customize. I would like to toss my 8X8 digital layouts in a box and when it was full, they mailed them to me. I tried the app and it's great, but I don't want loose photos like this. If I was still scrapping physically I could see getting some 4X4, but 30 a month is a lot.

I think it sounds similar to chat books? I’m happy for chari and she does quality work and I hope this ends up being a huge hit. That said, it’s not for me.

And hey that’s great, print those pix! I think chari was trying to something different here, like something you would put on your coffee table each month then file away when a new box comes? But I don’t have a coffee table and I don’t have guests.

It's funny, when I first saw the email pop-up on my phone, I was hoping it was a replacement for the PL app since everyone who uses it, especially Android users, have a rough time with all the issues. Hopefully she's successful and I'd love to see more people print their photos. Honesty I feel like the box would be a hinderance to me. I think I'd be less likely to take a box off a shelf, flip through photos and put them back in the box and then back on the shelf. If she expands to a 4x6 size I might be interested despite my loathing for the subscription model.

I signed up. They had a 50% off code for the first month and it said I could cancel at any time. So I will try it for a month and then probably cancel.

I love PP quality and they do always have innovative products and such. I feel like this is targeted more towards non-scrapbookers and people who are not printing their photos. Just as a way to say "ok I did it, I have a record of my/child's life". And I also think the size is geared towards Instagrammers and the square size there. I love PP's press prints and buy a bunch every year to put on my Christmas tree. While I will not be subscribing, I wish them success with it and hope maybe it does help people document their lives more.

I would subscribe to a plan where I got 30 better quality photos 4x6 size, but they print them when you hit the number of photos required not ‘monthy’, I don’t ‘need’ a box.
And, 67 cents per photo is not bargain enough to lure me into a ‘subscription’
I think with 4x4 she’s going for getting people to print their IG photos maybe?

It's a little weird to me. I like 4x4 but I don't want them in a box? And why 30? If it was geared toward scrapbookers as some kind of savings, like being able to "swipe" in 4x6 or 3x4 or even 6x8 prints and batch print at a discount, great! This seems geared more toward Instagram lovers. But also why the box? Like, I could see Instagram lovers wanting the prints to clip to a cool photo hanger that they continually refresh. Hmm. I like the company. Great quality! But I find this offering a little perplexing.

The 4x4 size doesn't bother me much - and the CTMH album idea is cute. She could also partner with SB.com on their 4x4 pocket pages.
The price per print is higher than I expected, but she's really including shipping in that price. What's interesting to me is the $19.99 is the introductory price - I don't think she can charge much more.
So I don't love the exact offering, but I like the idea of a monthly subscription photo service. If it takes off with the IG crowd, it might get tweaked over time to add sizes?

As a person who takes and scraps a lot of photos (a lot of times in triplicate) I wait for Walgreens to have sales, and generally don't pay over .9 or .10 per print. So .67 per print seems like a lot to pay.

I signed up. I want to get my photos off my phone and this is an easy way to do it. I'm a little disappointed that it's only square sizes but it might help shake up my scrapping a little bit to use more square photos. The price is good to me since shipping from Persnickety is usually $9 to my address. My last order I had 28 4x6 prints plus $9 shipping, came out to 65 cents per print.
At some point I am going to buy a tank photo printer and then I will be able to print all the time. But until then I think this might help me out a bit.

I love persnickety's prints but this did not excite me at all. I am not an instamgraer though and I do not ever use that size in my scrapping. I also would hate to have that many little boxes lying around everywhere.

The box is cute. I much prefer 4x6 though, so I will wait and see if that's offered down the line. This is definitely geared toward Instagram users. I do use Instagram but always download photos separately to get the 4x6 size.

I received my box. The photos are nice quality but I went ahead and canceled. Mostly because of the subscription aspect of it. I wouldn't mine doing this every now and then, but monthly is too much for me.

I finally got around to doing the boxes. I signed up at the beginning, but just did them. Maybe it’s me, but I was really disappointed with the quality. I thought the photo paper was very flimsy. It’s a shame because I’ve always heard such great things about them. I’m going to cancel and won’t use them again. So frustrated that I threw away $100.00 on shitty pictures👎🏼

That price is high.
I print at Walgreens. Only when I have a 50%off(or more) coupon code. 4 x 4 is currently .39cents each. .39cents x 30 prints = $11.70. With a 50%off coupon code, it would be $5.85 + tax.

That's a lot of $$$ for crapy photos. Thanks for sharing because I'd been considering doing this for my mother-in-law with pictures of my stepson.
