After the first pieces of pie, we exit the meal and clean up the debris.
The rest of the day, we eat pie by the fork-fulls, in a drive-by, "denial that we're eating more pie" fashion.
The pies soon lose their pretty, pie-slice shapes as random hacks from forks chisel the desserts into crude, scalloped wedges of goo.

Mahahahaha, pie drive-by! I tend to leave a knife handy and do turkey drive-by raids.

I consume a large serving of crispy turkey skin while carving the turkey for the family. I've also been known to put just a small piece of turkey breast on my plate and a serving of skin for the turkey portion of my plate. My husband gets *some* of the skin, but there is never any hanging around for the kids. I justify it by convincing them that I'm sparing them from a potential addiction!

I may have eaten cold stuffing for breakfast the next day upon occasion... I almost always eat a slice of pumpkin pie the next morning for breakfast. Pecan is absolutely required on Thanksgiving day, so I save the pumpkin for breakfast - hey it's a vegetable right?

For you stuffing addicts, stay far far away from Whole Foods biscuit stuffing. Really.

I make macaroni and cheese salad the way *I* like it. Everyone else will eat some but only my ds and I go back for seconds. And thirds. And fourths.
I'd say substitute it for pie but it's kind of obvious when you have to pull it out of the fridge, take off the cover, eat a bite, put the cover back on, and return it to the fridge! lol

Sauerkraut with kielbasa and the turkey skin. I can make a meal with just those two. Stuffing is a close second.

The turkey neck. Somehow my dad always gets to it first.
I've got 2 sitting in my freezer, just for me!

I could skip everything except the mashed potatoes. This is me. I am too lazy to make homemade mashed potatoes at any other time of the year, so I really chow down on the potatoes and gravy at Thanksgiving.

Left over meat loaf!! I mix leftover turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts with some ground turkey and make a loaf.. topped with leftover cranberry sauce.
OMG it is the best thing about thanksgiving!
I am like Ross from friends and his leftover turkey sandwich. DON"T TOUCH MY MEATLOAF!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guilty of going back to eat mashed potatoes out of the bowl when no one is looking. My grandma used to make the best potatoes and I so miss my Grandpa's gravy. I know my uncle tries but it's not the same. DH is getting pretty good at making gravy from drippings so one day, I'll smother my potatoes with his like I did with my grandpa's.

I make what my mom called "heavenly hash" for Thanksgiving, only. I make an extra large amount and leave a bowl of it at home for me! I eat it until it's gone!
Ooh, I can't wait!

Substitute stuffing for pie:) This is me, and no forks or spoons need to be involved . And it has to be bread stuffing. I almost cried when I discovered DH's family stuffing is rice based with chopped giblets in it.

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie. I only make it at Thanksgiving because I would OD on it otherwise.

I taught my kids to be waiting for the turkey skin when I pull the bird out of the oven. It was always just the 4 of us, so who cared if we ate the crispy, succulent, seasoned skin while it was still sizzling. Then Mom and Granny started joining us, and I taught my Granny to eat turkey skin. LOL. For the past few years, she has been waiting in the kitchen with DD when I pulled the bird from the oven. This year, I'm sure DD will carry the best pieces to Granny, since I doubt she'll be up to standing in the kitchen.
My favorite food is the dressing. I make the components - the cornbread with onions, celery, and sage cooked in it, extra sautéed onions and celery, turkey stock and drippings - but my mom puts it together. I could eat my weight in it. It's the only time that I ever prefer a savory over a sweet.
What my family really, really likes is the post Tday gumbo. They don't eat turkey sandwiches, they don't eat turkey tetrazzini; they eat gumbo. And they expect it by lunch on Black Friday. LOL. I've learned to have everything, including the roux, cooked and ready to go so all I have to do is strip the carcass and make stock. The last time I cooked at Granny's my brother assumed that, as usual, he was going to get to take the uneaten turkey home with him. My family was ready to throw Down! They had been willing to travel 200 plus miles and do Tday at someone else's home because we had just lost Poppy, but they were NOT giving up their tradition of gumbo. My brother backed down but he still went home with plenty of dressing and as much cut turkey as I could sneak on the platter without my guys noticing.
This year, I bought extra turkeys, so they can have plenty of skin and gumbo, but it's not the same as Tday skin and gumbo. LOL

Ambrosia. I could eat the whole, huge bowl of it and nothing else. It doesn't feel like the holidays if I don't have it for at least Thanksgiving or Christmas. My kids don't like it, so more for me!

I was cured of Thanksgiving gluttony when I was about 7 or so. My mom was an amazing cook, and holidays were The. BEST! A couple of my unmarried aunts and an uncle would always come for every holiday. That year my uncle brought something called Sen Sen Mints which aren't really mints at all, they are tiny, very strong black licorice bits. I completely ODed on them along with all other types of Thanksgiving feast goodness. Needless to say, I got violently ill later that night (probably due to all of that black licorice) and have never, ever overdone it on any holiday since!
That said, I have never met a homemade dinner roll or loaf of homemade bread that does not call out my name seductively every time I walk past the kitchen... Mmmm, bread!

I don't know if it's exactly gluttony, but after I've eaten a "normal" Thanksgiving meal, I really couldn't be bothered with turkey and vegetables. I just want dressing, homemade rolls, canned jellied cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and dessert. Starchy carbs and sugar, all the way!

Pie for breakfast. And pie drive-bys. Love it! Especially pumpkin, apple or any fruit-flavored variety. Chocolate and pecan, not so much. But I totally love all of the T-giving leftovers and think nothing of eating them for three or four days afterwards. Lisa

Am I the only one who drinks the real whipping cream when they are all waiting for the pie and I'm getting out the mixer? I think I poured some into a glass once, too...Yikes!

I love leftover turkey sandwiches, turkey and egg noodles and turkey pot pie but my favorite is leftover stuffing and lots of gravy. But only if it's good gravy. IMO I make the best

We have filet mignon on Thanksgiving due to DS's turkey allergy. If there is any left, I sneak to the fridge and eat it standing in the kitchen illuminated by the light of the refrigerator. Rip, snarl, gnaw.
