As you know my husband was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) last July. In early February he suffered multiple pulmonary embolisms and started hospice care. He passed away in his sleep this morning. We've been together for over 46 years, married for over 42 years. He helped me through my breast cancer at this time last year before he was diagnosed. Last Friday we had to help our oldest kitty, Smooches, cross the bridge (she was 15 and had cancer). So it has been a truly hellish few days.
I am blessed to have the best daughter in the world and the best friend in the world (both of whom are Peas) and blessed with a loving family and friends. And blessed to have all of you for all the support you have given me over this past year, first with my cancer and now with me losing my soulmate.
If you would please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers, I would greatly appreciate it. Please pray for a cure for this vicious disease so no other families have to go through this.
