I use Walgreens. They usually have 20-25% off with free shipping. I haven't checked lately so there may be less expensive options.

1-800 Contacts. Been using them for several years with no problems. Quick delivery as well.

I bought mine from Walgreens as well. I compared prices with Costco and 1-800 and they came out cheaper. I got free shipping and it arrived quickly.

1800contacts has always been my go to.
I may have to check out Walgreens prices. Our vision insurance changed and they offer a discount if we use a certain site to order contacts. I need to check them out too.

Walgreen's with a 20-25% off coupon code as mentioned above. I've never had an issue and I've been ordering for years!

Currently trying to get my eye doctor to send me my prescription. They don't seem to keen on getting it to me When I asked for it at the office, things went silent. Then they said "Dr. will have to approve and we will mail it to you" .. been a few weeks.

Then they said "Dr. will have to approve and we will mail it to you" .. been a few weeks. By law your RX is yours and you should request a copy after your annual exam. It’s now required when you request a copy of your CL RX you have to sign a statement you have received it. If they have to ask the Doctor then I’m guessing your RX is over a year old and you’re asking for an extension. During the pandemic some office did that, since pt couldn’t come in during the shut down. A contact lens RX is an annual exam since the lens are going directly on your eye, so the doctor has to make sure no damage has been done. Private offices also have rebates the big retailers can’t use so many times brings the price down to almost the same amount. Also Costco and the online stores can’t use all of your vision insurance if you have it. Many people think their saving money without thinking about the rebates or what their insurance will cover. I use to work at an optometrist office and many many times people left going to Costco and basically leaving $150 unused on their insurance or not using the rebates.

I have purchased my glasses and contacts from them, which I don't mind doing. I think they give me a good deal. But I just want my prescription. They seem very resistant, and I know they have to give it to me. I think they are trying to out wait me.

FWIW, I buy through my ophthalmologist. I don't feel they are expensive, I use my insurance and I know I am getting exactly what she recommends

call daily and them switch providers if you can. That is crap. FWIW, I buy through my ophthalmologist. I don't feel they are expensive, I use my insurance and I know I am getting exactly what she recommends I need to give them a call to remind again. I could switch providers, but I like having one close. I don't want to end up driving 2 hours, which is OK when I have time to plan for it. My regular eye doctor just retired, and I loved him. Had his cell # and he encouraged me to call at any time. He always told me to just call him and not to go to the ER for anything with the eyes. He would just drive down and open up his office. DH just went through having metal taken out of his eye and we deal with scratched corneas and other eye issues, just do to the nature of our work. So only having to drive 20 minutes to our small town, as opposed to going to the 'city' is kind of a big thing. I'm hoping I like the new doc, but I loved my old one. Change is hard! LOL We have gave the new local dentist the boot. It was up-sell and Xray out the ears. Nope. Seems like the old fashioned docs who weren't in it to empty your pockets are a dying breed.

Just checked both Walgreens and 1800Contacts, and 1800 was $20 cheaper, even with a coupon code for Walgreens! I hate how expensive my particular contacts are!
