I am iffy about my weighted blanket, as far as it helping me sleep. Will I be really unhappy when it gets warm? Will it become a seasonal thing.

I really love mine, but we keep the AC pretty cold at night and I wear a tank type nightgown in the summer. My cover is “cooling” but I’m not sure if it really is.

I either tuck mine beside me like some kind of safety thing or I take it off the bed ... I totally miss it in the summer

How do those of you who share your bed, sleep with a weighted blanket? I tried. I bought a twin size so it wouldn’t go on his side but it hung off my side of the bed therefore useless. My dd took it and loves it. I miss what could have been ☹️

Mine gets so warm that I couldn’t even put it on my bed last winter. I do like it and I miss it.

I have a 12lb weighted blanket.
Sometimes I need it to sleep. When I am having worse than usual sleep anxiety, I have to have the blanket on me. In the summer, I sleep directly under the ceiling fan. The air temp is lowered a degree or two. Sometimes, I pull it over me, then toss it off, repeat over and over.
I am single. Single or not >> I don't share my blanket or sheet. Been there, done that. I have to have my own blanket and top sheet. My pillows are mine, I don't share them either. To be honest, if I ever again become involved with someone, I want my own room and bed. I have sleep anxiety. I am light sleeper. I am a very restless, tossing and turning, in and out of the bed, etc... kind of sleeper I cannot have someone else in the bed or room for that matter, that is like me in regards to sleeping. I would never get any rest, if there was. I have to have dark and quiet.

Hubby uses his all year round. I hate the thing. It has to stay on his side. LOL!

I have a sheet, then the weighted blanket on my side and then a The Big Blanket company light blanket over the whole thing. I have to make the bed every day to reset things, but as long as I do, it stays in place. If I go 2 nights without making the bed, it does start to slip. This will be my first summer with the weighted blanket, but in the past I slept with a heavy down comforter all year so I'm not super concerned.

We keep our air conditioning pretty cool so I'm not too worried.

It's on top of the sheet, so in the summer he sleeps under the sheet and the weighted blanket. We keep our house pretty warm, too (in my opinion)... we keep it at about 79F for the time when we're going to sleep, and then it turns up to 81F. He's never said it's too warm for him. (what he usually ends up doing is sticking one foot out from under the blanket for his temperature regulation, lol.) eta: oops- the quoting got wonky.

This is very timely for me, because I just ordered a weighted blanket last week. The recommended weight for me was 25lb, the recommended weight for me was 25lb, which does not come in a twin size, which is what I wanted. So I had to get a queen size, and I’m not sure how that’s going to work on our king size bed. DH doesn’t want it on his side. I keep wondering if I should return this thing before I open it! I have a feeling it’s just going to be a winter blanket.

I have a single 20 lbs, a single 25 lbs, and we share a 35lb queen/king. Dh uses the other half of the queen/king and a 20lbs one. We have the cooling covers and I feel like they work well. We have sheets, thin blanket, queen weighted, then our twin ones. All of ours are from Gravity Blanket. We got our first when they were on kickstarter and we love them. We even have a set out in CO at dh's sisters'. During summer we try to keep our room 66ish for sleeping. I don't usually have a problem with getting too warm.

Fold it on half on top of you. if you're going to fold it in half on top of you, should it be half the recommended weight, then? any excess from DH's weighted blanket ends up sort of bunched up in the space between us... it's definitely for SLEEPING and nothing else, if you get my drift. lol.

Right, I feel like if I’m going to fold it in half I should have ordered a lighter weight one. And yes, I can imagine if you do anything with these blankets other than sleep, it could be quite a workout, LOL. 😂

I just took mine off (15 lb) I miss it terribly. It does get annoying to constantly fix everything. I have 6 more blankets on now, but I really want a cool weighted blanket for summer.
