What series finales do you think were really well done? My 2 favorites are the Parks & Rec and Schitt’s Creek series finales.

Anything but How I Met Your Mother.
Seriously though, Parks and Rec and 6 Feet Under were perfect.
Newhart was great as well.

Parenthood, with Craig T. Nelson and Bonnie Bedilia. The finale was wonderful.
And yes, 6 Feet Under is a classic and near perfect finale.

I loved the Good Place finale ... and I'm really, really pissed off that Kim's Convenience didn't get the chance to do a series finale--the season one was good for a season finale, but completely inadequate to wrap up the show!

I think the Newhart finale was the cleverest that I have ever seen. I am glad that I am not the only one that remembers it. I also like the last scene of the Mary Tyler Moore show where she turns the lights off. Schitt's Creek was really sweet and Parenthood was very moving.

“That’s what she said.” Michael showing up and Dwight calling Pam his best friend gets me every single time. Love this one too.

I vote for "MASH", mostly because I've never watched any of the shows you all have mentioned. lol For me though, it was probably partly the whole scene of where I was for the MASH finale. I was in the Peace Corps living in a small village out in the bush of Burkina Faso. One of the USAID employees, who had been in the Peace Corps so he always looked out for us, had a friend at home record the finale. Then that person mailed the video tape through the diplomatic pouch to Burkina. He organized a viewing party for any volunteer who wanted to come. The country was under a curfew at the time so once we all showed up at his house we were there for the night because if we left after dark we'd risk being shot. So everyone came with their straw mats and cloth wraps (thin African cotton material that women wore wrapped around them and that we all used as sheets and blankets) and something edible to contribute. Imagine a huge slumber party. lol And since that was the era before internet and cell phones and computers and anything at all that could have spoiled the finale we were all completely ignorant of any details. We had a fantastic time, and a lot of people watched it again the next morning.

The Friends finale was so good! I love when they bring home both babies and Joey’s confused reaction.

Believe it or not, I called that one.(newhart) It just occurred to me that his humor would call for it. Well, I got the dream part right. Not the details like "You should Wear more sweaters"😂

I was going to say this one, but did not want to age myself! LOL! Well, I’ll “out” my own vintage by tossing the last scene of “St. Elsewhere” into the mix.

Well, I’ll “out” my own vintage by tossing the last scene of “St. Elsewhere” into the mix. Is that the one where the kid is looking into the snow globe at the end? Yup. On the remote chance that anyone is spoiler-averse about a show that ended 33 years ago... A miniature hospital was inside the snow globe. The boy, who had been depicted throughout the series as the autistic son of the kindly, head doctor, had imagined the whole years-long story while continually gazing at the snow globe ... and then we learn that in “real life” his father is a blue collar worker and one of the other doctor characters is actually just his grandfather. Very meta. Or just damn confusing.
