I am finishing up my grandson's 1st year scrapbook and really want to include the sweet texts my son-in-law sent to me while our daughter was in labor. Does anyone know how to print out text messages from an Iphone? I have googled but just got more confused.... so if you know how to do this, could you talk to me like a kindergartner? Thanks!

I usually just take a screen shot on my phone (on an iphone 10 you simultaneously press both the right side button, and the volume up button), and print that as a photo directly from my phone! You may have to take a few screen shots if there were a lot of texts.

Turn the text into a picture and print it out (or get it printed, I use Walgreens) Good luck, that is really sweet that you want to include those!

Yep, another vote for screenshots! I don't scrapbook anymore but when I did, I loved included screenshots of texts

Okay, screenshots I can do. I was hoping to be able to print them all in one long document, rather than several screen shots but I'll make it work. A friend suggested that I just type out the transcript but I think it's much more fun to see the actual time stamps and "bubbles" between the two of us. Thanks for your help, everyone!

I've done what you want to do before by taking screenshots of all the texts then putting them together in one long image using Photoshop. I'd be happy to do it for you if you don't have access to any editing program (assuming the texts aren't private of course!).

Just to give you an idea...... (don't bother reading the texts, they're boring ones from a clothing shop hahaha!). This is three pages/screens of texts put into one image:

This was the one I had on my phone, although I never found much need to use it so I can't say if it's good. apps.apple.com/us/app/tailor-screenshot-stitching/id926653095

First of all, AussieMeg, thank you SO much for offering to do this for me. So above and beyond!! And thank you to joblackford! I honestly didn't even think that there might be an app for this. I used the Tailor screenshot app that you suggested and it worked like a charm, very easy! It took a bit of manipulating on the computer to print it out how I wanted it but I finally got it done. Thanks so much everyone for your help! This is when I really miss having techy teenagers still living at home....

If you happen to have your iMessage set up on a mac computer too, there is a super easy way to get a PDF file of all of the texts in a conversation - in Messages app on an iMac or MacBook, select the conversation and scroll up till all of the messages you want to print out are showing, and then click on File up at the very top of the screen... then Print. When the print dialog box comes up you can either print it, or save it as a PDF by clicking on the word PDF at the bottom of the print dialog box. When my Husband and I had been dating about 7 months, I did this and it ended up being something crazy like 700 pages, so be sure to save as a PDF so you can pick the pages you really want to print.

So glad to see this post. My best friend whom I also worked alongside of for 10 yrs passed away last year after several years of illness. She was on sick leave all last year and due to Covid and her vulnerability we weren't able to see each other. We rang each other, then went to email and texting as she became more frail and I would love to print out all our messages. I used to send her cards as well and know what I wrote in them- song lyrics and quotes so I can print those out but do not want to lose our messages. I am going through photos at the moment to make a memorial for her in our school library- probably a lot of our Book Week photos- she was the queen of dress ups! Some are on my Iphone and some on my Google phone. I'm not very tech savvy but I shall certainly try these suggestions. Thank you, Corinne
