I'm finally back! I sure am glad I have the scrapbook generations class of sketches for 6x6 papers to keep me taking baby steps forward this month. This layout is sketch #5 (I think) Part of my mojo loss was how I didn't like this layout I think. I just don't like how the patterns work together. I initially had the strips extended out to the corners of the paper, but decided it pulled away from the photos - pulled the eyes to those opposite corners instead. So I gutted the background cardstock, and used it to cover the corners where the strips were stitched into place. Then I used a black marker to add the "edge" to the strips since I couldn't cut them due to the stitching. You really can't tell, and I like this a little better. layout GCI junior by kirstendrew, on Flickr

But then, sketch #6 - I LOVE how this one came out! Everything on this page is over 10 years old. The only piece of pp is crate paper from 2007 (stripes). The orange cat is old BG. The dies - squares, stars - are all from Ali express and recent purchases. I used copic markers on velum to make the "watercolour" look stars. The title - I haven't been so tickled with a title that fits the pictures in a while! layout gritty kitty by kirstendrew, on Flickr

scrappyrabbit is the hammock a cut file? That is very cool. And all the papers and embellishments really work great together in your second photo. Yes, though my mom cut it for me so not sure exactly what cut file it is. She cut the 3 "string" pieces separately, as well as the polaroid looking pieces, and I assembled it to look like one continuous piece.

linda the pink photo background really helps the flower pop off the page and the journaling made me smile! Did you watercolor the paper in the second photo or did it come that way? Really cool either way!

Really cool either way! Thank you @sunnycamom - the background paper came that way ... I'm not that talented. It's from a pad DH bought me at Hobby Lobby - a little out of my box but I'm enjoying using it not my photo - I nabbed it online

What was that? My photo loaded with "Russian photo storage" underneath it. I deleted it.
What other photo sharing website could I use?

A few half and half pages. Lesson 8 Triangle of joy Lesson 10 I stretched this one to a 2 pg. lol not sure it lives up to “everything but the kitchen sink” but I did use a typically cut apart sheet for one of my half papers. Lesson 11 diminishing boxes. I really liked this background design and can see myself going back to it in the future.

schroema it is Heidi Swapp 'Old School' paper. Might be the B side, can't remember. I was thinking of coloring in the other section of that paper to use later on.

Last one for the month for me. This LO is for 28-4-28 Sketchy Saturday Feb 20th. Better late than never! I couldn't do a sample layout at the time due to "technical difficulties". I used the 'All the Seasons - Winter Stories' kit by Cornelia Designs.
