Threw away my old tinted sunscreen and am looking for some face sunscreen that will work for the whole family (so not tinted). 3 buys, one a teen, and me.

EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46Recommended by my dermatologist. This version is good for skin types with acne, hyperpigmentation and rosacea. They have other versions for the face as well.

Super Goop Unseen Sunscreen. I love the consistency of it for the face.

Neutrogena consistently gets good ratings and is what I always use.

EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46Recommended by my dermatologist. This version is good for skin types with acne, hyperpigmentation and rosacea. They have other versions for the face as well. This is my favorite too. Unscented, not greasy or heavy, doesn't irritate my skin and works great.

Super Goop or Shiseido if we are going to the beach. I get SPF 50+ for when we are on the water.

Neutrogena consistently gets good ratings and is what I always use. That list of sunscreens that have over the FDA allowed amount of benzene is FULL of Neutrogena sunscreens. I’ll not be using any of their products again.

Cancer Council brand BB Cream Matte SPF 50+. It's not sticky at all, it feels like a normal BB cream.

My dermatologist recommends the EltaMD uv physical or the EltaMD physical. She says you can’t go wrong with either but prefers the physical protection to chemical sun protection.

Fourth thumbs up for EltaMD. I have melanoma/pancreatic cancer syndrome, so it's a BIG deal to me. I use it every day. I also love SkinCeuticals tinted sunscreen as well

Also an Elta MD lover! I’ve been using it for a few years - it never breaks me out .

My previous dermatologist recommended Elta MD also but it burned my eyes. I need to make an appointment with a new dermatologist (the old one does not take insurance anymore); I am not sure if she will recommend the same thing or if I should just try something new on my own.

My favorite is brush-on block. I hate the feeling of lotion-type sunblock on my face, and I'm usually not in water when I'm outdoors, so the powder type works great for me, plus it's easy to pop in my purse for re-applying throughout the day. I've tried both the translucent and tinted and like both. It looks like they have a kids' version now that I haven't tried. I usually buy mine from Amazon.

Does mineral sunscreen really work? It probably has been around forever but is a new concept for me. I am so out of touch with makeup I worry about coverage. It is easy for me to "slop" on lotion and know I get full coverage. KWIM?

I've never heard of a sunscreen powder but I want to try it!

Ultrasun face sun block. I am very sensitive to the sun, so use a factor 50 block as well as skin care. I find this one is ok, and as a glasses wearer some can feel too greasy and make my glasses dirty.
