I'm attending a crop in a few months and want to start thinking of how to best take along my things since it's been years since I last went. I have things for paper, kits and bags for putting it all in, but what about stickers, embellishments, nuvos, pens, scissors, etc?

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to transport all my stuff. I definitely don't have it down to an art just yet but I would have to say that my favourite tool bag is my Totally Tiffany Ditto. I debated on buying it for a year because I wasn't convinced it really held a lot. But, wow, I love that thing.

I only take what I think I will use. So I will put photos + paper + stickers/embellishment + whatever else all into a ziplock bag together.

My folding beach wagon is my favorite organizational tool for crops. I can put most if not all of my supplies in it and make one trip. It folds up and I stow it under the table or against a wall if there is room. clicky

I usually page plan before a major crop and all my page kits fit along with my tools and tool caddy.

When I plan to go to an "away retreat", I plan my page kits carefully! Just like mom. Paper, PP, photos, sketch, ribbon, washi tape, gems, pre-die cut titles or die cuts I plan to use, anything that I think I might use on the page. I try to take a variety of kits to work on so that my creativity can flow if I get stuck on one topic, like multi-pages around the same theme. I have a list of "must haves" in an excel sheet: Scissors Tape Runner & refills (it is imperative that you take more than you think you will need!) Pencil Bone Folder Pop Dots Glue Dots Corner Rounder Wet Wipes Liquid Glue Baggies 12 x 12 storage Small Basket Page Kits Tool Kit (I have a tool kit bag for at least 20 years that holds my rulers, scissors, adhesive types, etc, etc. My mom even made a bag to put it inside to keep everything in while traveling) LO mats Ott light Paper trimmer All of the below in the colors possibly needed for the page kits I've packed, not the entire collection! Inks Stickles Mists Nuvos Sm iron Sewing Machine Stitching tools Cutting tools Quickutz Stamps acrylic blocks Stamp cleaner Pad And depending on the crop: Shelves Chair Table Those are just my ideas. I usually plan to take at least one page kit for every hour of cropping time. That usually leaves me with plenty left over when I get home and I am too exhausted to plan anymore, it's already been done! When I went on a scrapbooking cruise I planned my page kits for about 2 months prior. When I got home we went right into Thanksgiving and Christmas prep, so having a bunch of pages I still wanted to scrap already planned was great!

Those smaller IRIS containers in sizes like 6x6 and 8x8 work really well to hold embellishments and tools.

I try to plan just one or two events to scrapbook, so I don't have to take all my Iris cases of embellishments. I have a Plano toolbox that works great. The drawers are at a convenient height. The bottom drawer fits Iris cases, but it gets really heavy if you put too much paper in there. linkI bought mine at Menards.

I second the Totally Tiffany Ditto tote. I love mine. Holds a ton of stuff. I bought a rotating design board to go under it so it doesn’t have to be open if there isn’t space on the table. Have fun at your crop.

For me this question depends on how much pre organizing you want to do. I have a rolling tote with cardstock and inside I have a zipper case with my trimmer, adhesive, pens, glue dots, etc.
Then I either have an iris case or several 12x12 envelopes. In there I have all the photos, stickers and paper I have pulled to use. If I am working on one theme of a whole bunch of photos I bring the iris case. If I have different types of photos for just a few layouts that goes into an envelope.
I have a 31 bag that fits a plastic tote with a selection of letter stickers, and then I put the envelopes or iris case in that 31 tote. Sometimes I squeeze my fan in as well.
When I get to the crop I put my 31 bag on top of my rolling tote and go in all in one trip. Packing up is really fast as well.

I like these bags for thicker, small embellishments etc. smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B087WHHHJQ/I would recommend a tool tote for scissors, adhesive, pens rulers etc. They are very much a personal choice and I tried a few before finally finding one I like. Others were too tall, the pockets were too deep etc. I put a small acrylic organizer inside the tote to hold tools like tweezers, blending brushes etc. Sorry, I can't find a link, but it's from Hobby Lobby in a buffalo check pattern, similar to the Everything Mary ones.

For my tools, I use two things: 1. A cheap plastic pencil box - in it I keep a bone folder, stamping blocks, ink pads (my most used), small scissors, liquid glue, ink dauber, eraser, pick up square, pens, glue dots (on a sheet), scraps of white cardstock for stamping small images like labels, tweezers, long needle for piercing, post-it pad (to note the things I want to add to a LO but didn’t bring). It’s a lot, but it all fits. When I’m at the crop, I have it open on my table, with the paper, glue dots, and scissors flipped in the lid. 2. Totally Tiffany Ditto tote - I keep punches, Nuvo, ink pads, mists, paint, brushes, tiny attacher, pens/pencils, ruler, stencils, and 4x6 iris cases with dies, embellishments, stamps, or whatever else I can keep in those. It really holds a lot (and can get heavy, if you put a lot of punches like I do). The other advantage of this tote is that it opens up, so you can place it on your table to stake out your border and prevent encroachers! I always seem to be near someone who likes to expand their stuff into my space, so I try to have items to help prevent that, like this tote. I also take a metal fold-up rack to put things on and under - plus this also helps me mark my space. 😉 For other embellishments, I use a Sterlite stack and carry container like this one. I mainly use it for project-specific stuff. These are great because if you have multiples, you can keep snapping on more. I sit this on my rolling cart and use a luggage strap to hold it on while transporting. Have fun at your crop!

31 Utility totes, 12x12 Iris cases and a desktop tool caddy. I preplan my layouts or cards, depending on what I want to work on. I also take my Cameo, laptop, photo printer, two extension codes and two OTT lights.
I’ve been cropping at the same place with a group of friends and know how much space I have 2 6’ tables) and what I need to bring I do have a packing list of essentials I check off as I pack. I generally overpack as we are 30 minutes away from the nearest town...which luckily has a Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

I don’t go to crops, but at a Stamp & SB Expo card class, the woman next to me had a Ditto, and it sure held a lot. And she was out the door at the end before anyone else to get to the next class since she didn’t have to gather everything up to put away - she’d pull something from the Ditto and then just slide it back in. I think she had a wheeled bag that she left with the non-profit group that held luggage, bags of purchases, etc., and just took the Ditto to classes. Some of the Totally Tiffany Buddy Bags fit nicely inside it too.

I kept my trimmer, scissors, and adhesive in the top compartment. It is very spacious. I kept things like rulers, pens, enamel dots, Thickers, etc. in the drawers. I kept my Iris boxes of themed embellishments in the bottom bin.

I like my stacking SnapWare containers for my small items. I like how the SnapWare fits into my bag.
I think any secure closing container could be perfect for you depending on how it fits into your crop bag.

I have a tote that I bought at Wal-mart quite a few years ago, but if you search electrician's tool bag, it's quite similar. What I like most is the three pockets on each side. I used to constantly look for my scissors.
It also holds adhesive, washi tape, rulers, 12 inch trimmer, pens,...basically a lot of the essentials.

I don’t like pre-planning projects for retreats, because inevitably I get bored and then have no other options. So I tend to bring all the things! As much as my car will hold, I bring. Photos, collections, kits, embellishments, tools, etc. The only things I don’t bring are mixed media / sprays. Basically anything wet or that needs water.
I have a small Totally Tiffany shelf on wheels that travels well and is great to hold my paper containers. I also use a collapsible crate on wheels from Office Depot. I keep my purse in there with any snacks/personal items that I want at my space but kept hidden. Once the lid is on I use it as an additional surface for 12x12 containers, etc. Works out great and the only cost about $25. I like to have a small personal fan and a light source in case the lighting isn’t great, especially at night. The light I have has a plug for my phone charger, too. I also bring an outlet tower (with retractable cord) in case there aren’t enough places to plug into at the table. Chocolate to share with your table mates is a great ice breaker, too! 🤣
ETA: I use a Boon organizer to hold tools, adhesive, scissors, lip balm, mini Kleenex, etc. on my table. I also bring my own craft mat.

If you can find ways to take your supplies without repackaging them all, that will save time both before and after the crop.
I have some stackable CTMH organizers with dividers that fit into their rolling suitcase style tote. I keep inks and mists and PL cards and stamps in the organizers at home, so can just grab, stack into the tote, and I am on my way. There is also room for me to stack in a shoebox of sticker sheets and one or two Michael's organizers with my card making supplies.
I have heavy duty binders for dies and embossing folders.
You probably don't use brads or eyelets, but I keep mine in several divided containers that fit into a sewing notions bag. Those tiny sections would work for any small embellishment.
