Are there any Peas planning to attend GASC Arlington, TX next week? I will be there on Friday for shopping.
I’m fully vaccinated, masked and looking to see great products in person.

I would love to go, but it’s not happening for me this year.
Have a grand time finding fun goodies!

I’ve never been to one of these, but I’m thinking about this one. I really only want to shop, though. I’m wondering if it’s worth the hour drive, though. Is anyone able to tell me if there is a decent amount of vendors? Would I find things that I can’t find at hobby lobby? (I realize everyone’s opinion is different). Thanks!

I don’t know if I will go. On one hand there are only 23 vendors so relatively small. On the other hand I feel I need to go to support the convention and show them we are still wanting shows. So I’ll probably go Friday.

Yes! My 2 besties & I (all vaccinated) are going Saturday for shopping. Even with the small number of vendors we want to shop & support the vendors that are there. We're looking forward to it!

So I’ll probably go Friday. Go and support the vendors. I was at CKC - St. Louis the first weekend in April and there were only 15 vendors. I'm hoping there will be more next year. Usually there are 50-60 vendors.

I’m still excited to attend. We will also add a trip to the scrapbook store in Waxahachie (crafty scrapper?) to our trip. Local Peas, Are there any other scrapbook stores in the area?

Scrappin Goodtime in Corsicana. They have a good selection. I would check it out online first. There is also Personal Scrapper in Allen.

I'd love to hear a report! I recall taking a road trip with girlfriends from KCMO to Arlington for the first or second GASC. We had so much fun - it was during the "big days" of scrapbooking - the convention was HUGE so many products we didn't have access to! The crop was HUGE so noisy ... so many tables ... so many women! The classes were new and exciting - and class kits were LOADED with products! Those were the days !!

I was there yesterday. After a year+ of lockdown and no conventions...it was lovely! Did they have the latest and greatest, nah. But they did have enough for me to spend money on. It was so nice to see people out about without masks and having a good time. It was busy and most vendors had lines to check out. I'm glad I did go! Signed, A happy girl!

It was just okay. Luckily, our favorite vendor was there, and that where I spent all of my money, but we didn’t get there till mid Saturday afternoon, and everything, even in this booth, was totally picked over. (Our fault!) There were only about 20 booths which most we didn’t care about. They did say they had great traffic on Friday, and the crop looked full, which is great! Hoping more vendors will be back next year.

I was VERY disappointed. I left with only FOUR (4) new sheets of paper — Vicki Boutin Storyteller. They had LOTS of the AC lines tat were sold at JoAnn, but I have plenty already.
No new products that I saw.
Lots of pre-made page kits, stamp & die sets, Creative Memories, Stamping Up, Paper Loft, Washi Tape, Disney premade kits.
Luckily, a drive to Crafty Scrapper renewed my shopping lust. I picked up some 49 & Market, Simple Stories Cottage Line, and another line I’ve never heard of before.
Please note: I am only speaking for myself and my experience.
