Posted this question in the 'what are you looking for' thread a few days ago, but I think it got lost in all the other things peas were looking for--or maybe no one knows...so trying again: Leg Makeup- not tanning, just something for coverage of scars, discolorations. Doesn't transfer, doesn't run in the heat with sweat, comes in a good choice of shades, won't turn me orange, and won't break the bank! Thanks!

I got mine at Macy's after the surgeries on my face. I wasn't a fan as it was thick and heavy and irritated my skin (super sensitive skin). But it did cover my keloid scars and broken capillaries.

Sally Hansen has a reasonably priced airbrush color for legs. I use it every time I have to show my legs at a party. It absolutely doesn’t transfer. It is a little on the thick side, so I usually put on heavy lotion and then spray, and then rub it in. My SIL has very discolored legs, due to health issues, and she says she now gets tons of compliments on her legs.

I have Tarte Shapetape body makeup that I use to hide my ankle tattoo when I need it covered for social events. Got it at Ulta. Works great, no transfer and the bottle has lasted me awhile.

Avon sold leg make-up in the late 60's - early 70's that was amazing! People swore I had nylons on when I didn't. Applied correctly, it was great. Wish they would market it again.

I like the Sally Hansen too. I apply it with a self tanning mitt. Less mess and more control.

I also use Sally Hansen, but I prefer the lotion formula to the spray.

I also use their airbrush lotion, and agree with using a nice creamy moisturizer underneath. That said, I used it just the other day and for me, it did transfer all around the ankles of my brand new white canvas sneakers 🥴 I haven't tried to get it off yet. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I always worry about the car seats, couches and padded chairs, but for some reason, not the dress I’m wearing. I think since I’ve only used this while wearing a dress with strappy heels, it’s never been an issue.

I have used leg makeup. And I've never had it *not* transfer. Which is a bummer.
I wore leg makeup once for a date with my boyfriend when we were first dating. It looked amazing (I used Sally Hansen's Airbrushed). But I noticed it rubbed off on the couch.
So I'd go with using sunless tanners.

I do notice some transfer the first few hours, but what I do to avoid it is shower the night before and put it on before bed. I’ve never noticed it on my sheets (but they are colored, full disclosure) and then, the next day, I can wear whatever with no issues. I do this especially when I’m planning on wearing white shorts.
