Prime Day is tomorrow and Tuesday! I have a bunch of stuff saved on my lists that I should review so I know what to watch for. Off the top of my head, I’m hoping to get some Cricut deep cut blades for my cutting machine and maybe some perforated silpats that I’ve been eyeballing for baking. ETA: I’m also hoping to get a Cookie Monster Tervis tumbler or water bottle.
What deals are you hoping to find?

I think we’re looking for a mesh wifi system. Beyond that there’s nothing we “need” but no doubt dh will find some deals too good to pass up.

I could use a new paperwhite. Mine is from 2014. It is still going strong, but has a small chip in it.
I might want one more echo for the basement. Security lights/cameras Ummm....

I avoid Amazon whenever possible, but I ordered from Chewy "blue box days" deals this morning and I am putting together an order from Target as well.

I can’t think of anything we want or need. I will look at a few items but honestly don’t plan to buy anything.

What's a mesh wifi system? It’s a wifi network for a house. Basically helps get better signal throughout the house. We have a big old house (brick exterior, plaster walls) so keeping a good connection is challenging at times.

I would like to get a thermostat that I can control with my phone and/or Alexa. Any recommendations? (and are they hard to install?)

Does anyone know when we can start previewing the lightning deals and adding them to the watch list? I have no desire to wait until midnight to see what is going to be available LOL.

I'd like to test both of my dogs' DNA so I am hoping Embark will be on sale. We did the Wisdom Panel years ago on my older dog but I want to see what Embark will show.
I'm also interested in getting a Ring doorbell.

I'm also interested in getting a Ring doorbell. We did wisdom panel too. I have wanted to see if another company will come up with the same results! I purposefully picked a test that you didn’t have to send weight, photo, etc ... just DNA. :-)

I'm also interested in getting a Ring doorbell. We recently did an Embark test for our dog and it was so fun seeing her mix! 50% pure beagle, and a 50% blend of 3-4 other breeds.

I would like to get a thermostat that I can control with my phone and/or Alexa. Any recommendations? (and are they hard to install?) Nest thermostat for sure! You can also buy additional temp sensors for other rooms and can switch the thermostat to run based on one of the other sensors.

It is markedly warmer in ds' bedroom, so it helps to know what the temp is there and be able to base the a/c on his room.

I have a wish list built but I want savings that are more than equal to my sales tax! I never seem to have those items on my list.

I don’t have a separate control upstairs so I would often forget to turn the heat down before bed. Now I can adjust it on my phone and don’t have to get out of bed! I think it might be easy to install (the directions seemed fairly clear) but I had an electrician out to do other work so I had him install it.

I just went to their website, Canadian one of course, and there is a message that Canadian prime day is postponed due to COVID to focus on safety of their employees and focusing on supporting customers and selling partners. They are donating 1.5mil to Canadian Red Cross and so on.. Huh good for them. 👍🏼

I hear you, but there are certain things I need/want that I can’t really get anywhere else (or that I don’t really know where else I can get it without getting killed on shipping charges).

We have a big old house (brick exterior, plaster walls) so keeping a good connection is challenging at times. We have the Orbi system and love it! Great coverage and stability. I'm hoping for new earbuds and maybe an additional charger/cable for my cell phone so I can have a set at work.

A TV for our newly remodeled downstairs. A die cut machine...not sure which brand...any suggestions? I LOVE my Vagabond 2 die cut machine, it's electronic so I just hold down a button. I have limited use of my hands and it has made it possible to craft like I used to! There are so many wonderful ones on the market, maybe pop this question over to the General Scrapbooking board?

I would like to get a thermostat that I can control with my phone and/or Alexa. Any recommendations? (and are they hard to install?) Nest thermostat. DH installed one last year (easy to diy) and we love it. Our electric plan is on balanced billing and they re-evaluate our usage every June and adjust the bill up or down. They had just adjusted it last year when we installed, so the recent adjustment gave us a good view of how much it saved us. Our monthly bill is going down $73 a month! We don't keep the house any hotter than before, it's just that the thermostat does a better job of regulating when it turns on and for how long.

The echos and paperwhite are on deals available already today if you tell Alexa to tell you what the deals are. If you ask a device to tell you or open the app on your phone and touch the chat icon at the top left and type deals, it will send them to you
