Oh my!! I grew up in Lantana and that brings back so many memories. Thanks so much!
ETA sorry all my memories are over 50 years old and none of them would be of restaurants, shops, etc.
But enjoy your trip!

Live about 15 miles from there. East Atlantic Ave, just west of AIA has tons of places to eat and venues of all sorts. You are in the off season so if you venture west it should not be too overrun with seasonal retirees, big retirement area as you travel west. A few good deli places around Military Trail and Atlantic or Military and Linton Blvd. Three Gs is very good.
It is hot and rainy now, the humidity is very high so makes it feel even hotter. On the beach you can burn to a crisp in about 20 minutes so definitely shade and sunblock. Water is very warm.
Be careful about wandering around off the main drag on Atlantic, there is some higher crime areas to the north and south nearby around 12th ave. Not terrible but be aware.
Overall it is a decent area and hope you have fun.
