I'm not politically educated, but wouldn't DT have to already be an active politician to become the Speaker of the House?

Just to rile up the base? I thought you had to be a member of the House to be elected speaker, however, that’s not true. The constitution does not stipulate that. It wouldn’t matter if it did anyway, if he’s got the votes I’m sure they can find one of his cheerleaders to resign from a state where the Governor would appoint him. It’s just their next coup attempt to f with we the people’s choice in 2020. Our democracy is on thin ice and fighting for its life. Some shining beacon to the rest of the world we turned out to be. |
