I’m not sure why this hasn’t been on my radar at all, but frankly I’m glad.
Because, now, while I’m stuck recovering and reading is hard, I have several seasons on YouTube to binge watch, and it’s really helping the time fly.
Quick update: I’ve seen the ENT, who is arranging surgery to repair the nose early next week. Her words after looking at the film: “girl, you really mashed that good!”
My primary ordered physical therapy for my neck. As for whether I have post concussion or trauma induced migraine, the symptoms are similar, and I’m continuing to follow the migraine regimen, while looking at post concussion recommendations also.
I have no sense of smell and zero appetite, which are known post concussion results. What little I do eat is being blended because opening my mouth more than a little or chewing hurts and then makes the head hurt horribly.
I’m little by little getting more memory of right before the fall, and that foggy time afterward. I initially insisted I didn’t lose consciousness, but I’m leaning toward thinking I did, I certainly have no recall of landing, and was very disoriented for about 15 minutes. Also, the Apple Watch fall detection did its thing, which I’m beginning to remember, and the type of alerting it was doing only happens if you fall and then are still for a minute. This is what woke me up.
I now feel really good about having it, ( I initially got it to keep tabs on heart arrhythmias), as if I hadn’t gotten up and turned off the alarm, it would have called 911, told them about the fall, who I was and where. At the same time, it would have messaged the four people I list as my emergency contacts and told them.
Anyway, back to John Oliver, I am blown away by the research, clarity, guest stars, production numbers, and really cool things like forgiving all that medical debt for those folks, and producing a bunny book that sold more than Pence’s. I love the wicked little gleam in his eye right before he unleashes something cool.

Damn, that really was quite a smashing fall. I'm so glad there are people looking at you to bring you back to good. What is the ent going to do on your nose? I'm lucky, with 3 nose breaks I've never had surgery, just had all the cotton stuffed up my nose.

Ouch on the three breaks!

Ok, my DS had a broken nose many moons ago. He hit the steering wheel in a MVA. After the swelling went down, it had been packed right away. They put a thing in his nose and spread it to open it up and make it straight. (But his was not shattered...) They sort of are rebreaking the nose to fix it.

Ouch on the three breaks! Yeah, I would want that fixed too. Off center would drive you crazy I'd think. I was very very lucky that none of mine were smashed, especially with how I got them. Mine were clean breaks each time. Though the last time they told me I would not be so lucky if I broke it again.
