I’ve come to realize I feel the most creative in the mid morning, when I’m at work and can’t really do anything about it. Any tips for capturing mojo to use later in the day, besides list making?

Well, I could have written this post myself, LOL. I definitely feel most creative in the mornings (all morning) and sometimes late at night (sometimes very late...when I should really be in bed instead). I'm still WFH and my scrapbook/craft room is also my home office, so every morning when I come in and log on to start my workday, I look longingly at my craft table and wish I was doing something there instead. Luckily my work desk & computers sit in the corner facing mostly away from my scrap desk (adjacent, but my back is at an angle to it), so it's not in my face all day.
It's something about the mornings though that just get me itching to start crafting. My scrapbook/craft/office room get a lot of natural light and faces northeast so morning light is the most abundant. Maybe that is what draws me.
One thing I have found is that if I do a little bit of setup/prep at the end of a crafting session so that the next "thing" is ready for me to start, it really helps to give me the mojo to get going whenever I get time to craft again. So at the end of a session, I'll do a quick clean off the work area (not a full/major clean-up, but I'll clear away scraps, put back any papers I had out, tools back in place in my desktop organizer, etc.). Then I'll go ahead and pull the photos for the next LO (usually a double-page for me) or other project, pull a few choices for background papers and other accent papers, and pull or jot down any initial sketch ideas I might have for the upcoming LO. The important thing is not to make any real/final decisions on the next step, but have the photos and a few choices laid out on a clean(-ish) slate desktop for a starting point. That has really helped me because I can mull over the photos and papers (if any) I've already pulled over the period of time until my next crafting session. It gets my brain thinking about (and anticipating!) what's next. It has helped me get a faster start and get my creative energy flowing (during non-crafting time) so that I'm all geared up and ready to go when I do have time, if that makes sense. I find myself anticipating it more that way. Plus I've found I have a hard time starting a new LO/project/craft with the flotsam of the previous one still scattered all over the desk.

I haven't found a time of the day that makes a difference. I usually watch a craft video and get inspired.

Whenever I don't have time to craft...? sigh.
Having something ready to go/in progress on the table definitely helps, sitting down in my space with music or an audiobook and just starting to mess around usually works (the video/music/book helps me to stay put long enough to get into a groove with something. Maybe there's a time of day where you can trick yourself into going to your space without pressure, just to play a little bit, that will get things flowing.
I used to think I was only inspired to craft in the mornings but as long as I don't expect too much from myself right after lunch I have learned that I have another window of time between about 2 and 5 where I can get things done if I get my butt to my desk with something ready to work on.

I would say mid to late afternoon because that is when I most often get to craft. Also, the light in my room is amazing and inviting that time of day!

Whenever I don't have time to craft...? sigh. Totally me too. Lately I've been feeling creative at like 10 p.m. when I should be winding down for the day.

Previously I had the same setup as you, it sounds like. That is a great idea about prepping the next project. I think I need to also start making blocks of time to craft instead of just haphazardly pulling out something to work on while I watch tv. In other words, be more intentional (and I am cringing as I type that word).

Yep, sometimes the pressure is there to get something done, instead of just create. I've been trying to work on that lately. The other night, I was trying to figure out how to scrap the 25th in my December Daily, I decided to grab some stamps and try some stamping I had seen on IG. Shazam, I'm almost done with Day 25. It was an eye opener, just shifting my mindset a bit.

Usually very late at night. I've been known to stay up until 3:00am or so while crafting. I think it's probably because that's my uninterrupted time. It also seems like I get inspired and warmed up to create right about the time my family is ready to watch a movie or do something together. Sigh.

I usually get creative in the middle of the night and into the wee morning hours. Insomnia plays a part.

For time of day, I am usually most creative in the morning. Or that is when I seem to be able to get the most done. A lot of ideas come to me when I am doing something routine, like gardening or driving.
Lists help. Or quick sketches. So I will often do that at soonest opportunity.

I have noticed it depends on the day and season. Summer time I am most creative after lunch. We have had a family activity, ran errands, or are done with private therapies. I also like to create after dinner if one of my shows isn't on (Big Brother, Holy Moley, Beat Bobby Flay, Iron Chef America).
Fall and winter it is during the school day during the week and mostly Saturdays. With the sin going down sooner, I try to get in as much work with natural light as I can.
Spring it is later in the school day and that is because I like to be outside. I also start to scrapbook later in the day again because of the time change.
So really for me, like I said, it is a total season time of year thing for when my creative juices are flowing.

Afternoon I think. Even on weekends when I could craft in the morning I usually don’t. I am a morning person but I think my brain is on ‘work’ mode first thing then it’s on create mode.

Morning.
And sometimes when I wake up and can’t go back to sleep, I get ideas and head to my craft room. Not ideal.

Evenings or weekends. I find I'm most creative when I have nothing else I "have" to do so I can relax, put on my favorite tv show and just create.

I think mine also shifts depending on the day/season. During summer I'll often scrap during the heat of the day, but in winter it's especially cosy in my room at night. My craft desk is in my wfh office and I've found that having the next lot of photos out helps me get more done as I'll occasionally flip through papers and pull out some options, or choose an alpha, or other smaller tasks while I'm listening to calls. I can get a surprising amount done in those smaller blocks that makes the putting the page together part really efficient.

Morning, my mojo seems to leave me after lunch. Except at crops...then, I can scrap till bedtime, though the last layouts seem to get simpler and simpler.

Any tips for capturing mojo to use later in the day, besides list making? I'm definitely at my best early & mid morning.
If I didn't WOTH, it would definitely be a case of dropping the kids at school, then spending all morning in my scrap area, then make dinner after noon before picking up the kids again.
As it is, I just try to grab the mornings that I can, or putter when I have a free minute.
For capturing mojo, I like to scroll through Pinterest at night, when I'm too tired to actually scrap, and save pins of ideas that might be fun to try. Then I at least have a reference point.

It has to be right circumstances for me. Not tired, it's quiet, good mood, and I don't get interrupted. That would explain why I'm a slow scrapper.
