Dang it, I can't get the pictures to load. I'll try again later as I love me an MCM home. And this one is an original owner.

The only thing I like is the sunroom with the funky fireplace and the outside. The entrance is very Brady Bunch. I hate the walls and every bit of flooring needs to go. The kitchen cabinets look like cheap laminate. It all sucks, but it could be made really cool with enough money. Not worth it to me.

As is, makes me wonder what all is wrong with is. From the quick look, it was not well maintained.

On its face I would love it with about $150,000. worth of renovation. Well, that is if there is no structural or major infrastructure issues.
Only major issue it is in Ohio, cold and snow.

I love this house! I love the Brady Bunch feel of the stairs, and especially the room divider. I would need to make some updates, I’m not really sure about that floor and the bathrooms definitely need renovating. But overall it’s a cool house and would be amazing if you had the money to properly renovate it.

I like the idea of it. Some of the finishes, such as the kitchen cabinets, are awful though. I don't think they would have even been considered nice when the house was built. Maybe they blew the budget on the entry rock wall.

I love it! With a little work, it would be stunning. And it is so depressing how much less expensive the rest of the country is. I don't think you could get anything for that price here.

Dang the taxes. It’s assessed at 142k but taxes are almost 9k a year. Imagine what they will be when the house is sold for more than three times that yikes.
I love the trees but dang the carpets are ancient snd well everything else would need to be updated assuming it’s going to need a lot of work.

I love it! Rip out the carpet and replace it with laminate, do the repairs, a little bit of paint, and it would be very cool.
I love midcentury modern, though. I'd fill that house with midcentury furniture- it would be so fun. I'd love going to antique stores for decor to match the vibe. Squee!
I actually like the kitchen cabinets- it really fits the aesthetic. I can picture midcentury dishware in there.
As for it being Ohio? I live in Columbus- Cincinnati is a lot warmer than Columbus, and hugely different than Cleveland. It is really weird how the weather changes in such a short distance. Totally different growing zones. You are definitely going to get all 4 seasons, though.

Totally immaterial comment--but how odd to empty the house and then leave various pieces of art hanging on the walls.
I think I would have ripped out the hideously dirty carpet before putting it up for sale.

I bet the furniture was sold off before the House was put on the market so potential buyers would not ask for it to be left. The art probably was not worth as much.

i usually love MCM, but just not feeling it with this house. That shower/tub would be so dark with the narrow entrance, I just couldn't imagine anyone using it as a tub. The room built under the patio is an add-on and I'm sure that fireplace would be the only heat source.

I hope whoever buys it rehabs it in a mid century style…like out with the bad old and in with the new looks-old. It could be a great backdrop for someone who already owns a lot of MCM schtuff.

I thought this thread was about MCM, the fashion house from Munich. Oops. *tip-toes back out* Full disclosure: For years, I knew that MCM referred to mid-century decor, but erroneously thought the “MCM” stood for Roman numerals; hence, “1900,” so “20th Century,” so mid-century design, Scandinavian design, etc. It was only very recently I realized it’s way more literal than that. (Yes, for those of you wondering why “20th Century” would mean ONLY mid-century and not Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts or Bauhaus or whatever; I dunno; I guess I thought it was clever but flawed. Like me.)
