Starting Sept 1 finance.yahoo.com/news/unitedhealthcare-millions-members-long-access-130000474.htmlNearly 4 million UnitedHealthcare commercial members will have the option to access Peloton’s fitness classes via the Peloton App, giving people enrolled in qualified fully insured employer-sponsored plans a 12-month subscription to a Peloton Digital Membership or a four-month waiver for a Peloton All-Access Membership at no additional cost.* Peloton All-Access Members can take live or on-demand classes on their Peloton Connected Fitness products and track their personal metrics, plus have access to content via the Peloton App. Anyone have recommendations for non-equiptment classes?

I wish my insurance would cover the app! I do the cycling classes when on my elliptical. But I also love the strength, pilates, and walking classes. The yoga and mediations are good as well.

Interesting. We have UHC. Wonder if that will apply to our plan.

All of the classes are excellent. It just depends what kind of exercise you like. Walking, running, cardio, strength, Pilates, yoga, cross training. All can be done without the bike or tread. Just try them out and get a taste for each instructor’s style.

The Facebook group #hardcore for the floor is awesome. There is a monthly calendar of recommended classes and it alternates through the week upper body, lower body, full-body, yoga, core, pilates, barre.

There are so many classes and instructors it’s hard to recommend one. I like barre, strength, outdoor classes, stretch but my favorite is always the bike.

There is a huge variety of classes and instructors. I love it. I do bike but also do strength workouts. I've also done stretching, barre, and meditation. It is a lot of fun once you get into the habit.
Depending on what kind of shape you are in you may have to modify - I definitely do but I'm getting better (long way to go though).

For no equipment at all barre and Pilates work as do cardio classes (I haven’t really done those). There are also body weight only strength classes. You could do yoga without a mat - they have a yoga anywhere series with some standing and chair yoga.
You could also do the walking outside classes.

Just applied to join this group, looks like they have some clear rules about posting. Some of the other peloton fab pages are absolutely toxic. I got kicked out of one for questioning all lives matter.

I got kicked out of one for questioning all lives matter. One of the reasons I love the group so much. I fully committed to doing HCOTF in April, I think. Without sounding braggy, I have to say I just love the changes I've seen in my body! Also follow the Insta page. I think it's called HCOTF2018. That shows the daily stack. If you don't have already, you'll want to start a collection of dumbbells. Right now, the ones I use most are the 5s, 10s, and 15s. Apparently there is a good set with stand available from Costco.

I just got accepted and left almost immediately. I can’t deal with groups with constant posts and there are over 180k in that group. I might try the insta though if that just has the info. I’ve been slacking with my peloton use recently and I really need to lose some weight and get back into a regular routine.

That’s cool! They have many classes that can be taken without equiptment. I listened to an outdoor walk one yesterday while on my walk.
If you are interested in a spin bike, you can get a good one on Amazon for around $300. I highly suggest it. I love my bike and the Peloton app for classes.

If you have fb join hard core on the floor. They do a monthly calendar and the classes require minimal equipment...dumbbells, a yoga mat, and sometimes resistance bands. If you don't want to buy anything there are a lot of body weight classes too. Oops...didn't read replies first. Oh well, it's a great group.

Thanks for all the replies so far!
Can someone explain the basics of the classes? Are they videos you can watch at any time, but go live at a certain time? Are the live each time? Is there interaction with the coach? I know with the bike you are connected but not sure how that works with non equipment classes.
I have no interest in a bike and barely like exercising at home. I regularly take intermediate dance classes but and looking to add some strength and stretching is always appreciated too.

I've had my Peloton bike for a year and a half, and I have done maybe 2 or 3 live classes since I've had it. I've never done a live strength class ever.

Another vote for #hardCOREonthefloor. The calendar has completely changed the way I go about exercising, and I'm seeing results. I love the barre classes - never thought I would, but they are great and they BURN the booty!! I would also recommend starting with some light (2-3 lb) weights and finding Tunde Oyenenin's arms/light weight workouts.

It is so short I am going to try and do it 3x a week - My legs and hips need it lol. OP - you can sign up for a free trial, I think it is 30 days. You definitely need some hand weights to do most of the strength classes. I use 2, 3, and 5 depending. The 10 minutes light arms and weight classes are a good way to ease into things..(yes, Tunde's 10 minute arm classes are awesome, very challenging!)
