Around here schools usually pick a theme for the year and decorate for Meet the Teacher night.
My school’s theme this year is Journey Off the Map. Basically the principal wants to highlight that we are “sailing into uncharted waters”. It can be pirate, beach, map, etc.
I’m a pull out intervention teacher, but I want to make something cute on my outside bulletin boards. Any ideas? Maybe a cute saying or what you would put on the board. My oldest is very artistic, so he is willing to help me make something.
This is my first year without a regular classroom. I usually put something on the board and then welcome to Mrs . . . Class with the kids names, so I’m struggle a little.

I know someone will have a great idea for you. My dopey brain got stuck on Aaarrrrrgggg! Wear your mask you scurvy vermin. I'm thinking that is not the message you want to convey. 😈 Well at least not out loud.

Now I would be sorely tempted to put that up.

What about some sort of thinking map? I found this one and thought you could put something about how you are feeling on the first day of school in the middle. You could easily change up the middle throughout the year. I don't put a ton of energy into bulletin boards anymore, but I do things similar to this. You could use post it notes for the outer parts to make it even easier. thinking map

I thought of Buzz Lightyear and “To infinity…and beyond! “
You could do a board and not include Buzz, but use the saying. Start with Earth and then have a rocket or school bus that is blasting into space. Stars could be labeled with phrases or school goals (growth mindset, problem solving, etc.) .
