Happy August!
I need to find the box for my camera, so I have the cord to connect to the laptop. I just realized my new laptop doesn't have a slot for the SD card.
I am generally super organized and can find anything. Where is the dang box?

Good luck finding the cords, ladies! Cords drive me nuts.
I can hardly believe it's already August. Makes me so sad the summer only has a month left.
This year I have a hs senior in the house, and seeing that school will be back for in person, i need to come up with a plan to document. I feel very bittersweet, as this is my kid with lots of desire to fly away and be independent & successful (a great thing!), but I feel almost like this is my last chance to capture them in photos.
Anyway, I have soooooo many photos sitting & waiting for me. And I need to order July prints.

I know - summer (as a holiday) is almost over here. High school orientation is Friday and classes start the 11th. Sadly summer (the hot weather) will stick around a while longer - and it rained almost every day in June and July so we didn't get to do the Springs at all (they are closed due to flooding). Good luck LavenderLayoutLady - senior year is bittersweet. Similarly my middle is flying the nest in Dec/early Jan and I'm feeling the need to take photos so as not to miss a moment with her. I emptied out my birthday folder between yesterday and today - it had been looking rather sad...just a few sheets of PP I really didn't like, some scraps, and some partial sticker sheets. I made 30 Cards and then tossed the last couple of scraps and added the remaining stickers to my donation pile. And turned around and ordered Photoplay's Norbert and Tulla Birthday collections for something new and fresh

I am generally super organized and can find anything. Where is the dang box? You don't need the box, you need a computer store to buy new and probably better cords. I don't know for sure, but I bet there is an answer for your SD card too.

I don't know for sure, but I bet there is an answer for your SD card too. You can buy card readers - they connect to the computer via usb and have slots for the cards

I have been trying to watercolor a painting for my son and I have not painted for decades. I once upon a time majored in art in college and had pieces in the college art show, and this effort on my part looks like my granddaughter did it. I'm trying to make it look a bit painterly or impressionistic but it reads juvenile. So I will keep on it and see what results. Scrapping is always on my mind so yesterday when my friend and I took the little ones for ice cream and a trolley ride, I grabbed the little flat wooden sample spoons and a trolley map and told her we will use those to scrap the photos. I love using memorabilia! I also made a layout and framed it for my favorite local eatery. Paper Wizard made an adorable die cut called Sweet Dreams, and it inspired me to make them a layout. This place named a children's menu dish after my granddaughter and recently my daughter in law started baking there. So I pulled some internet photos and put it together in about half an hour. It has die cuts, washi, ribbon, stickers, foam tape, inking and about 3 sheets each of patterned paper and cardstock. They loved it. I think it would be fun to do these as gifts.

My cousin gave me some great old photos yesterday. I need to get my photo scanner back from my BFF, so I can scan and share with my siblings. I also want to scan them before I use in a scrapbook.

Need to get back to my project of digitizing old negatives.
It's kind of tedious, but I know there are some gem pix in that stack of hundreds of negative strips and this is a good way to find them.

Need to get back to my project of digitizing old negatives. I was looking at the boxes of old photos and negatives in my cupboard just yesterday and thinking the same thing, but, as you said, it's tedious, and I just can't muster the enthusiasm. I really should try to get at least some of them done so I have some new (old) photos for sketchtember.

I finally caved and bought a kallax this last week. I'd been hoping to find something a bit more traditional which would better suit the style of my house and decor, but reached a point where it was more important to get my albums out of all the random places I've been stashing them than waiting until I find the perfect shelves. I've got so much more space around my work desk (I had albums stashed underneath it), and I've been able to get some space back in my wardrobe as well. And the best part, last night I sat down and pulled out an old album and spent an hour looking at all the pages and reading the journaling.

I pulled out some of my childhood photos to scrapbook yesterday. That really jumpstarted my mojo, which had been lost somewhere the last few weeks.

mikklynn - that's awesome! Chinagirl828 - I'm glad you've found an album storage solution that's working even if it's not quite the style you would have preferred @zingermack and Chinagirl828 - I also have more scanning to do but I lost momentum along the way. myboysnme - that framed piece is beautiful! I'm dabbling in colouring stamped images. I'm pretty good at colouring but I don't have a good eye for colours yet.

Days ago I bought Halloween stickers at Dollar Tree.
I just saw on Instagram that there are also really nice autumn themed ones.
NEED!😁
So now my mission is clear - must hunt them down.

My office did the most amazing thing and has given all the staff the day off tomorrow, without needing to use our leave. I've been utterly exhausted lately so I'm super excited about the surprise day off (they told us on Monday morning) and since our lockdown got extended I have the perfect excuse to just stay in and scrap.

We have a 2nd hand craft store in town. Ever since Tuesday Morning pooped out on craft stuff, I've been frequenting this place more. On Tuesday, a friend of mine and I went and spent 3.5 hours just perusing. I've gotten some great deals there, but most of the time there isn't a lot. They had a sale where paper was $1 a pound and embellsihments $1 or under were ten cents. Found all of this for $5. Most of the paper was Bazzill. IMG_4871 by Nancy Tim, on Flickr

Yesterday I was successful at finding the autumn Dollar Tree stickers. So thrilled. It's my favorite season.

I am not getting much scrapbooking done this week, as we have our grandson here again for hockey. We are having fun and he's keeping me busy! 13 year old boys can eat! He likes to cook, so we are doing some of that together. I do have photos of us making waffles together.

I'm scrapping my March pandemic layout tonight - the journalling is a little hard because we were all feeling so hopeful back in March - DH had gotten his second shot, DS and I had gotten our first...it seemed like the pandemic might be starting to end. Even Persnickety Prints made March 2021 their last Covid timeline. But looking back from August...wow, it hasn't been quite as we had hoped/expected. Perhaps I should type up August's journalling soon...
