Lindsey Graham says he has covid-19

Is it bad to say that I wouldn't mind if he got sicker? Unfortunately, he had the vaccine so it is an easier case

This is a shitty comment, so I'm striking it. I was being an asshole.

I hope he recovers and uses his experience to further the efforts to get people vaccinated

Which, sadly, is not always the case. I just lost a dear friend yesterday to Covid. She was fully vaxxed. She did have diabetes and that may have played into it.

So he is actually saying he is GLAD he got vaccinated or it would have been much worse. Is this not a good thing that he is saying it is a GOOD thing to be vaccinated. Maybe it will encourage a few more people to get vaccinated.

This was the second loss in 3 days. They are all members of the same church with a 35 count of positivity. That is what was know 2 weeks ago. 2 other churches in our area have had outbreaks at the same time.

As a South Carolinian, I agree. He’s vile, but I hope that by speaking out on this he can influence some of the many misguided people here who refuse to get vaccinated.

I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. This thing can be a real bitch.

naby64 :  I am so very sorry for your loss.  That's awful.  This is why I am SO protective of DH.  He has congestive heart failure & a-fib, COPD & emphysema, type 2 diabetes (soon to be type 1), bladder/prostate cancer (removed both organs after chemo), etc.   I get too scared to see him go anywhere other than the doctors' offices.  The hospital (last week) was frightening enough, especially when we heard quite a few nurses admit that they weren't vaccinated yet.  It affects people like your friend, my DH and other people at risk.  It's terribly selfish.  Again, my sincere sympathies for your loss.  xo

But, he didn't say "Go get vaccinated!". If he did, I missed it.

He did back in December, I don't know if he has done so recently
