I just went and was surprised. I’m wondering if something has changed.

Well there are a lot of variables...type of oil, dealership/private garage/quick oil change business, etc.
We pay $100-120 with synthetic oil for our large SUV at a private family business.

My F150 is $85 for synthetic. It takes 6 quarts. 🤦🏻♀️ But that usually lasts a year or so.

My car is about $30, at both a local shop and the dealer.

My Soul was $50 with synthetic oil at a small garage.
My CRV has had one, at the dealer, along with having the tires rotated and it was $82. That uses synthetic oil also.

I think it's about $125 for a full synthetic oil change on our SUV.

Our range rovers cost about $200-$250 at our mechanic’s. We don’t use our local dealership.

Thankfully when we bought dh's truck back in 2006, it came with a lifetime oil change price of $21.99 as long as we do it at the dealership we bought it from. I think they hate that we still have this truck, but it only has 50K miles on it! DH takes the vanpool to work. My vehicle (Ford Escape) was 49.99 at my last service. That was with a 10.00 off coupon they sent me in the mail.

I usually pay around $90 for my Prius. I just bought a mid size SUV - have not yet changed the oil but they will be covered by the dealer at first anyway.

Thanks! That answers my question! It varies greatly! I’m going to shop around.

I pay nothing with my leases. I bargained and got them included for free. My vehicles only need them at about 10,000 miles.
Our company pays $39 plus whichever oil is needed for that particular vehicle at Jiffy Lube.

I paid $38 for synthetic for my Crosstour. I just bought a new Passport so I don't know what it'll cost for it but I do know I'll only have to get it changed every 10,000 miles.

My exdh usually does mine. In February, I was a little over due for one and he was out of town. I was totally shocked when my local lube place was $79. They used to be $29 and that was not that long ago. He switched to doing mine when he had replaced my oil filter ( from brand name oil shop ) and said it was made out of the cheapest material possible. He told me that if I had to go and get it done, to take my own oil filter. hth

My cost is nothing. My husband does it. Lucky you! Except I’m anti-husband these days. I’ll pay for the oil change. Much cheaper than all the therapy I’ve needed from my previous one.😂

Typically 60.00 - 85.00 (for synthetic) depending on where I go and what deals they have going.

Please know that localities have their own disposal fees, taxes and such that vary from place to place. The oil change itself is one price (and can vary by car type because some are a pain in the ass), the oil is another and depends on how much you need and what type, the filter is another cost, and then add taxes and fees

Doesn't trust their parts, but likes the staff.

I looked it up and it is $70 before tax at the dealership. I believe the local place is cheaper than that.

I’m actually not sure. My husband’s uncle owns a repair shop and does all our work. We pay him the going rate, but he just runs us a tab. My husband stops by periodically just to hang out at the shop to visit and he’ll settle up then. I’m kinda surprised with this question to realize I don’t have any idea what it costs.

Our company pays $39 plus whichever oil is needed for that particular vehicle at Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube ruined my oil pan in my dodge intrepid. They stripped out the plug hole and refused to own it. They were the only place that ever did the changes for 5 years. Their fix was to get an expanding plug or something. Asking around, I found out this is a really common issue with them. Never again will I go there.

I’m in CA. My changes for my Charger are $90. Dh does the sequoia changes. My car is too low and heavy for him to feel comfortable getting under it.

About $55. That's a little higher here than some places but I prefer the local mechanic running his own shop.

I haven’t had to pay for an oil change yet on my 2019 Chevy SUV. It has all been covered, including my yearly inspections, by the dealer that I bought it from.

My dealer gives us free oil changes so I rarely pay for one. I was out of free ones and needed an oil change recently so stopped in Goodyear. It was around $80 for synthetic in my SUV. I was kind of surprised it was that high. It’s gone up since I last had to pay for one.
