I am going on a trip and I am going to be walking in the mountains and in trails and I need a water bottle.
I ordered a Hydro flask because they don’t leak, and they are highly rated, but I am not happy with what I got. The only way to drink out of it is to unscrew the top.
I just want something that’s a little easier. But I seriously don’t want anything that leaks. Is the only way to get a leak proof water bottle to have a screw on top?

You can buy lids from Hydro flask that have either a squeeze bottle type lid, or more like a sippy cup style. If that makes sense. Just make sure you get the right opening size.
Have a great trip!!

Nope, nope...get on Amazon and order the flip straw lid that comes with 2 straws. I have a 32 ounce and the 40 ounce. I left one straw at the original length for the taller bottle and cut the other down. I have the wide mouth bottles so the one lid fits both. ETA: oh and I know it is silly but it bugged me to no end that neither bottle would fit in my cup holders. I bought a hook that slips on the post of the head rest and the bottle hangs from.that hook. No rolling around while I drive.

You might want a camel back they are really convenient. Oh unless you won’t be wearing a backpack.

They work perfectly for large water bottles. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M028L5E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

For hiking, i'd wear a Camelbak or some kind of hydration vest.

I adore TAKEYA water bottles. They sell them at Target and Amazon. I think they would fit your needs!

We don't hike or anything. The reason that every member of my family has had GOOD insulated water bottles is that we live in FL where the humidity could easily zap you. We've wound up in the ER because of severe dehydration. We carry our water bottles with us any time we step out of the house!!!
They easily fit into our cup holders in my car. I carry backup water in an insulated bag (I drink a lot).

if you are hiking, whatever water bottle you get, be sure and be able to walk hands free. it is super annoying and less safe to walk with stuff on your hands and can throw off your balance. everything goes in a pack or on a strap or something. look into hiking poles too..they are a significant help.

Thank you! We need these!~ It is literally the first one of these things that actually works. There are various sizes for the base and then, if you need a tighter fit, there is a neoprene sleeve you can put on the base that makes it a wiggle-free tight fit in your cup holder. It also allows you to use a mug with a handle safely in your car. I just put a third one in my kayak, because my yeti is the 36 ounce size that doesn’t fit in any standard cup holder, but fits in these. I can even get a good stable fit with this in my kayak cup holder.
