Saw this brow product, it is supposed to mimic the laminated look. You could test it out and see what you think. Perhaps take it to your brow groomer and see if the effects are comparable to what you can expect. Your link doesn’t work But honestly, screwing around with brow products every day is exactly what I want to get away from

Try this one. www.sephora.com/product/patrick-ta-major-brow-lamination-gel-P474848Oh, yeah, I get that. I meant to try it on for size if you’re concerned about the grow-out phase if you don’t like it on you. eta: I don’t know why this one doesn’t work either, it is the correct link. But you can see the product name in the link name to Google. The result photos look very similar to what I’m seeing for real lamination.

You are adorable! I think that your brows look great. Very natural. My problem with so many brows/micro blading is that it makes the eyes look heavy. DH calls them “angry eyes” when DD is all made up. Now I’m tempted!

DH calls them “angry eyes” when DD is all made up. Now I’m tempted! I think it's SUPER important to have someone who is really skilled and to be very clear - show examples, etc - about what you are looking for and what you aren't. I'd say the way mine are isn't the standard look for laminated brows, but I knew from my person's portfolio, that she could do them other ways (and in fact her own brows are very much like mine).

I like the 'after' a lot! You look great! Will be interesting to see how long it lasts and how you like it during the grow out phase. My brows are desperate for something, but I've been very hesitant about this. Now that I see you have a more normal look with it, may have to investigate it locally. (why did no one tell me that my brows would get more sparse with aging waaaahhhh). Ha! Wait until your 60s when they start turning gray!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Like I said, I'm happy with the results and don't think it looks overdone or weird despite me not being a heavy makeup wearer. But I'm not sure I'll continue because my skin can be on the sensitive side. I had no reaction to it whatsoever this time, but repeated exposure to the relaxing solution... I could see it triggering a reaction in the future. Not sure I want to risk that. Maybe I'll just do it occasionally for events/trips or whatever.

They still look amazing. I'm getting tempted. And seriously, how are you turning 50? Your skin is fantastic. Well, I'm not quite 50. I'm 48 1/2 lol. But 50 is feeling CLOSE lol Thanks for your kind comment!! I joke that I tried to buy the Fountain of Youth at Sephora the year I turned 40, because that's when I started getting serious about skincare. I wore sunscreen and took decent care of it before, but wasn't very thoughtful about it and wasn't using any kind of actives. I got into the double-cleansing, 10-step Korean skincare approach back then and stuck with it until about a year and a half ago. It improved my skin a lot, and also helped me learn what worked well for my skin and what didn't. I also started getting a little Botox about then (a very little, by most standards), so that definitely helps. But in my before picture, I hadn't had any for over a year, I think. You can see wrinkles on my forehead (the pic is a little blurry - I accidentally uploaded a lower-res version than I intended, but you can still see them), but even without Botox, my wrinkles aren't too bad. Starting tretinoin (via Curology) a year and a half ago has been a total game changer. Improvement takes time, but I've had significant improvements in texture, laxity, and overall brightness. I'd say it's the single most important thing I've done/used. I dialed back my routine then, because I did not want to be mixing other actives with tret and risking irritation. Recently, I've really pared down my routine because I was diagnosed (finally) with mild rosacea and so I'm trying to use the most gentle but effective possible products to maintain my skin health. I'd say my skin looks better now than it did when I was 40.
