I want to buy two recliners for our living room.
I would like them to be cute and stylish. I want push back style. I want it to look like a normal chair with all the transformer abilities and comfort of a recliner.
Basically, I want the same thing I wanted in a car 20 years ago. I want a mini-van interior that looks cool on the outside without being a mini-van.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

I have 2 recliners from LaZBoy in my living room. They just look like normal upholstered chairs. I couldn't find my exact chairs but there are similar options recliner

I just replaced my 25 yr old high back Dusty Rose lazy boy that my parents bought for us when we got our first house! I sat in that chair ALL. THE TIME! It was like my Archie Bunker chair. I literally just got my new one last week(still has the tags). COVID kept me waiting 8 months for it, but I love it. It’s a bit more modern.

Yes we have had them for 6-7 years. They have held up nicely and are used daily. Most people don't realize they recline initially but say that they are very comfortable. There is no handheld mechanism to make them go back. You just push back and the footrest pops up. Mine are not the exact ones I linked above but they are similar in that they have legs which I think makes them look less like a standard recliner. They are the only LaZBoy furniture we have but we have been pleased with them.
I actually never considered LaZBoy until my SIL purchased a couch from them that was super comfortable. I ended up getting my couches from a different company but saw these chairs in the showroom and really liked them.

We have one American Leather recliner, the Aston model www.americanleather.com/aston/We’re quite happy with it. Very comfortable, looks nice and is in great shape after six years of daily use. I don’t think it gives recliner vibes at all.

I have two leather recliners from Pottery Barn. I love them. I read the news with my coffee in them every morning.

I have a LazBoy in the living room -- it look just like a regular High leg Wingback -- I got to choose the material - leather was also a choice. It did take longer to get it due to Covid slow downs - but it is a great chair, very sturdy, nice recline. I'm very pleased! We also have a LazBoy sleeper sofa - queen size memory foam mattress. Again - sturdy, looks great - another good choice (after an Ashley pale blue leather didn't make an "in City" move and could not be repaired!)

I have a chair like that - looks like a regular chair but you can push it back to recline - I bought it at La-Z-Boy. It is 13 years old and still like new

Watch for Lazy Boy to put everything on sale. Every year they do a complete blow out sale & that is the time to buy recliners. I also have 2 Lazy Boy chairs in my living room that I absolutely love.

I have 2 leather recliners from Basset. They are electric and absolutely not "grandmpa's recliners".

We have a lazy boy also. It is called Kimberly. It has a little bit fancier legs. We just ordered a new one to replace the one we have had for years.

I'm typing this from my Lazyboy recliner - as long as you don't get the rocker-recliner, you won't have the grandpa look:)
They have some awesome fabrics, Labor Day sales should be forthcoming.

I have two Christopher Knight club chairs from Overstock that recline. They both look good and are comfortable and inexpensive. They get a lot of use so I like to replace them often. eta peajays I love those colors. Where did you buy it?

Are you sure you don’t want a chair and ottoman instead? I find them much more comfortable than a recliner, though I have nothing against recliners lol

My mom was buying a new recliner from Lazy Boy a couple of months ago, and delivery times were 5 to 9 months out. She doesn't expect hers until October at the earliest. I can't imagine they will have a big blowout sale this year when they can't handle the orders without a sale.

I'm old! We ordered 2 leather Lazy boy recliners at the beginning of May. We are hoping to have them by December! We did leather as our other leather ones have held up beautifully! Those we received in 1999 and they are great now!

The Charlotte has plainer feet. Very comfortable. I'm typing this while sitting in the Charlotte.

I have grown up with LaZyBoy furniture. My mom got the first one in 1968 with a cream background & large peach & muted orange flowers. A true retro for now. I think my brother still has it.
Bought several pieces throughout my life and they truly live *forever*. I currently have a fabric manual recliner (almost 21 years old) and 2 - dark burgundy love seats that also manual recline, turned 10 years old. The leather is wearing very well and are used daily. I have been living in one spot, on a love-seat, since my surgery in July. So comfortable that I fall asleep in one.

Allison Anderson was just showing recliners she was considering for her new house from Crate and Barrel - very modern, non-recliner-looking recliners.
