He has the right to discuss ideas & strategies with his closest advisers. The president should feel unrestrained to bring ideas to his closest staff for robust discussion.
These are the words from Senator Grassley on the Senate Floor in response to the news circulating on trump attempts to actively try and change the results of the election.
I don’t think anyone disagrees with a president’s right to discuss things with his staff and advisers. It’s the topic he reportedly had a robust discussion with his closest staff and advisers about that’s the problem.
