I need to make a birthday dessert (does not need to be cake but certainly can be) for a friend. He loves peanut butter so I would love to make something using it. Anyway favorite peanut butter recipes out there? There is google but I trust the Peas more. Thanks.

I like either a mocha cupcake or strawberry cupcake with peanut butter frosting.

He loves chocolate. Reese’s peanut butter cups is his favorite candy. I thought about Whoopie pies but his sister may be making him some. I will file this one for later. I think they will be a winner with him. Thanks!

Buck Eye Brownies
It's a brownie base with a layer of peanut butter goodness and topped with chocolate. Let me know if you want the recipe.

Peanut Butter Pie:
1 graham cracker or oreo crust (store bought or homemade) 8 oz cream cheese, softened 1 cup peanut butter 1-1/4 cup powdered sugar 8 oz cool whip, thawed
Beat cream cheese and peanut butter until combined. Add powdered sugar. Beat. Fold in cool whip. Place mixture in crust. Freeze or refrigerate. For an extra treat fold in chopped peanut butter cups.

This is my Grandmother's Peanut Butter Pie - and it is to die for. We just made it a few weeks ago after not having it for years (she passed in 1998). Mouth watering.
Mix in pot on stove: 3/4 C Sugar 1/4 C Cornstarch 1/8 tsp Salt
Gradually stir in 2 3/4 C milk. Add 3 well beaten eggs. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute.
Remote from heat and stir in 1/2 C peanut butter (we put 3/4 C in when we made it a few weeks ago). Cool for 5 minutes.
Pour into 9" pie shell. Serve with Cool Whip.
We made a pie shell from scratch, but you could get a pre-made one. It would be delicious with a chocolate pie shell!

My dad had to spend a few days in Ohio for work a few years ago and I asked him to bring some back for me. They were gone in minutes. A brownie version is a great idea.

Do you have an instant pot? I made this for my son's birthday in April and it has been requested many times since. I have probably made it 8 times and it turns out perfect each time Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake

I really like an easy peanut butter pie recipe that I got from my mom somewhere. It's in a graham cracker crust, and basically, IIRC, it's peanut butter, cream cheese, and maybe cool whip, for the filling, I think? Not sure if it was a recipe from the cool whip container, or found via the cream cheese advertising. to serve, I cut chocolate curls for garnish, and drizzle with chocolate syrup. It's VERY rich. this is pretty much the recipe I use: The Best Easy Peanut Butter Pie although I like the emphasis on the peanut butter flavor so I use a regular graham cracker crust instead of a chocolate one. ETA: when I was growing up, my Aunt Lillian always made wonderfully rich peanut cakes for our annual family reunions- vanilla sponge cake cut into cubes, all sides frosted with a vanilla frosting, then the entire cube is rolled in chopped peanuts. I tried to make them ONCE and it was a huge mess. I've tried it since, making it as a cake with regular frosting rather than frosting all sides of the cubes. But easier yet would be to make a white cupcake, frost with peanut butter frosting, then dip the cupcakes into chopped peanuts for a great hit of peanut butter flavor. I like to bake peanut butter cup cookies. Roll a ball of pb cookie dough in mini muffin tin and bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Then place a mini pb cup in the cookie when they’re done. I put the tin in the freezer to harden them a little and it makes it easier to replace them from the muffin tin.

I adore this one. It is super, super easy. It is no bake. And it tastes exactly like Reese's Peanut butter cups. Mind you. I love some of these other peanut butter desserts as well. But this one is perfect.
